#DeathKnight - Hit Your Sim

#Deathknight is a combat routine for Death Knights that aims to create the best possible way to play. It takes into account everything about your character to calculate the best possible spell to use at any given moment. This does not use a simcraft rotation! Simcraft is a preset priority list that can be sub optimal given your current gear and stats. #DeathKnight does all the calculations on the fly.

Features:

• Support for Unholy and Frost (2h and 1h)
• Hotkey support for DnD/Defile and Summon Gargoyle
• Hotkey support for disabling AoE should your raid need that
• GUI for changing settings

• Breath of Sindragosa

What won't it do?

• No movement support in the near future
• Defensive cooldowns are not automatic (These are better triggered by hand in many cases)

Hard to say but i would say it does about equal to the paid profiles i have..

It could use way better logic for self healing and sustaining in blood

as for frost, it gives me around 16k dps with a raid boss target dummy and no buffs beyond what the spells I have give me
only ilvl 625 though

I'll try and add automatic DPS cooldowns today. As for holding KM procs, for 2h frost it is a large damage increase to hold them for Obliterate. 1h frost will use KM procs on Frost Strike if possible (its highest damage ability)

Yeah, but it's ok for blood as I have Pasterke's superb routine for it; I was looking for one for frost and found yours

In heroics it sits at around 12-15k dps, I haven't done any raiding yet as I wanted to get most of my heroic drops to just do normal hm
I can do LFR tomorrow, though.. see how it goes

Overall for frost as I said, I like what it does and wouldn't complain about any further optimisation

Hi,

just tested it on my 670 uh aswell, i registered only for you, to give you some feedback

first:
for me one of the fluent best working free routines, ive seen in a long time, for me its working more fluid like tuanha and some paid ones

but i wanted to give some constructive feedback also:

1. pls make it possible to change the modes ingame by single buttons, not only modifier combinations
2. the Blood Tap usage seems to stutter sometimes or isnt working at all for some reasons.
3. (edited) make the updates easier by using SVN
4. (edited2) the last point i thought about was an overlay for the options enabled (aoe etc), just mentioned because saw some API updates in honorbuddy patchnotes
5. (edited3, i think a few more posts and edits will come since i really like your project ) theres no pet behaviour, like assisting /following if to far away etc for unholy

I was thinking about programming a raid routine for myself, because i havent found one, which suits me very well (including the paid ones), but this one is awesome so far, if you keep developing it on and fix little sings and enhance the functionality, its about to become one of the best ccs around here

There's a problem: if boss is below 35%, it'll wait with all spells so it can put soul reaper on boss no matter what. Watched it wait for 5 sec while having killing machine and obliterate ready just so it would put soul reaper. This was a huge dps loss.

Another Problem showed up, if your pet takes a long way around something, for example, if you jump down somewhere in a bossfight, the cc will try to execute Dark Transformation untill pet is in range again and wait for it doing nothing, capping runes

I noticed another thing: it has massive more CPU usage then other CCs, im using it with enyo, with 60fps hardcap so i havent got any problems, but its still very heavy in CPU usage, sometimes above WoW itself (raid situation) any advice for not taking down the DPS performance?

Just for guys showing up here: for now about 1,3% more DPS then every bought routine i tested in long term runs, singletarget.

I just checked and Blood Tap isn't currently being used. I'll try and get that added in today. Thanks for the catch, I personally use Runic Corruption.

The only in-game option that is valuable to show is whether AoE is turned on or not. In nearly all cases you want it on (this is the default when you start #DeathKnight) so you have to go out of your way to turn it off. I'll look into what it takes to do this, but it won't be soon. My focus right now is getting the highest damage possible out of everyone's DK.

The pet control is done on purpose, but I suppose I can make it an option for Unholy. I'll look at adding this after the Blood Tap support.

Soul Reaper is your highest damage spell below 30% the CC reserves runes so that you have 100% uptime on it. It is only a DPS loss is you are rune capped which I haven't seen. Did it just wait until you had 2 frost runes, or were you rune capped?

The CR doesn't currently have any range checking, I'll add some for instances like that. Thanks for the catch. As far as the CPU usage goes, I'll see if I can do some caching to make it less intense. I run mine at a 15fps cap with enyo and get awesome damage. Have you tried lowering your hardcap?

I got the Hardcap @ 60 now and i am also getting insane DPS numbers the only fight i can catch up the CC is butcher because there i must concentrate on anything but moving, but its very nice!
i got the hardcap @ 120 before, that was a bit high i think i had 25% cpu usage of wow in raid and 60 from hb
with 60 its running smooth and very nice!
