DB memory leak in VM & Host

I monitored this last night and I find both the current build and the beta build has memory leaks on both VM's and my host *no matter the plugins or profiles in use*. I monitored the memory usage over a 4hr period and it slowly climes until I receive an error and have to shut the applications down. Of course this is ok on the host with 16gb of ram but vm's set to 2gb last 1-2hrs before I get messages to close running applications due to insufficient memory. Once closed and reopened I have another 1-2hrs before doing this again.

Any suggestions?

it seems we have the same question, the virtual window got black and I can do nothing but rebooting.

I used this guide to set up my VM... HOWEVER I found that 1-1.5gb of ram was not enough *the vm would run out of ram from this issue above* and i thought it might be the share of d3 & DB so i expaned the partition to 20gb and made copies of both on the VM but it still happens. besides the ram and the HDD the rest was followed to the T

memory is still leaking

set 1.85 gig per machine and activate the pagefile on the guest machines. Set it to minimum 1 gig and max 4 gig

this works flawlessly with an SSD, dont know with a HDD

different setups are going to need different settings as not all host machines are the same, and not all guest machines are the same.

Im running an i7 3.6 sandy bridge / 16gb dominator plat / 120gb vertex 3 / sli evga 660s / completely liquid cooled. I have tried it running on the ssd and off the ssd, 5gb W/ shared files and 20gb local guest files. The machines still leak memory. I disabled and enabled the paging file but hasn't made a difference

Had a similar problem myself. 8gb ram here, just 2 vms.
I followed the above suggestion with the page file, 1gb to 4gb, set the diablo3.exe priority to high (saved using prio) and seemed to fix the problem for me.

However, for me I think i still need to upgrade to 16gb as if I run more than 2 accounts I get random crashes on the host.

What option are you running in vmware>edit>prefs>memory? Not sure if this makes any difference?
