DB and Win 8 - cannot attach

I'm having trouble running the DB under win 8. I tried everything i new (even used DBwizard). Nothing helped.

PS: i run both d3 and db as admin, then both in compatibility mode, etc. Still get this error message:

PS2: not running any other 3rd party programs either.

There might be a problem with .NET Framework or C++ Redistributable.

Please follow these instructions exactly.

Uninstall ALL .NET Frameworks
Uninstall ALL C++ Redistributables
Restart your PC
Run this tool as ADMINISTRATOR - Honorbuddy Wizard

Hopefully this fixes the problem.

the .net framework is built-in in win8. i tried to install the .net 4.0 and it's says i have a newer version already installed.
c++ x64 is already installed (by win8) and demonbuddy wizzard installed the x86 version and said - you are now ready to run demonbuddy.

The reason i wanted to try DB under win8 was because i had a power loss while DB was running the other day (on win7) and it corrupted the .net framework (all programs that need .net generated a HKLM/bla/bla/installroot to point to the correct install directory). Needless to say i've tried all sorts of "strategies" to reinstall/repair .net framework (including .net cleanup programs or win repair programs). I tried for a complete day. Without success.

I have a fresh win8 intall yet i cannot run db here too .

It's build 9200 (september). I want to try it first. Isnt it final ?

Yeah, that was the problem. I ran D3 and DB as admin but not the wizzard. Now i did that and it installed the C++ x86 version on win8. The first time i assume it only download it but never install it. Now it's working.
