Hey,

I hope somebody can answer me this. The shown dps on weapons is only the dps calculated on base damage * attack speed (e.g. 200-400 dmg 1,3 attack speed => 300*1,3 = 390 dps)
Furthermore weapons can have like +100-300 lightning damage which is not included in the shown dps, right?
In addition to that weapons can have stats like +40% damage. Since this is not shown in the dps amount, can this stat be like...imba? I mean 40% is a huge amount.

And if this is correct, does the +intelligence factor (for me as I am playing wizzard) only improve the base dps (390 in this example) or is the lightning damage and +40% damage also included when calculating the total damage?

So extra damage% and extra lightning dmg etc is already included in the calculation of the shown dps?

Yes its already calculated on it to give you the dps that is shown on the weapon.

Maybe someone can help me out on this example right from the AH:
1h Mace
Attack Speed 1,2
Base Damage: 496 - 1083
Arcane Damage: 244 - 616
+35% Damage
Shown dps: 947,7

496+1083 / 2 * 1,2 = 947,7

This would prove my theory

Base damage includes teh Arcane damage and the 35% daamge.

1h Mace
Attack Speed 1,2
Base Damage: 496 - 1083
Arcane Damage: 244 - 616
+35% Damage
Shown dps: 947,7

496+1083 / 2 * 1,2 = 947,7

So the 496-1083
atk speed
and dps of the weapon are the values taken into account the magic properties in the list below.
So the base damage 496-1083 is the total of what the base damag eof the weapon was before you ID it + the arcane damge and the 35% damage.
if it had an attack speed modiiyer that would be already be taken in to account for the attack speed listed under the dps.

The 35% are calculated in the base damage. Compare it to the "white" item that it is based upon.

ah I see, so this isnt a "base damage" but the total damage of the weapon. thank you guys very much!
