damage bug

So those of you who haven't stopped playing after the latest ban-wave could see what actually happend last night.

From around 8PM to 1AM (forced server restart) the damage was totally bugged and peole were massively taking advantage of it. My lock friend was doing 60M chaos bolts and was literally one shotting everything in his way. A lot of people achieved best realm times in CMs, 2700 rating, Archimonde Mythic kills and so on. They were totally abusing it yet Blizzard haven't taken any action against them. And it seems like they won't do any rollbacks for those who abused it, so basically free end-game achievments done in a few minutes.

But what bothers me most, how is this fair against us who got banned yesterday? I sense some sort of double standards.

Because going through logs and finding offenders is instantaneous...They haven't taken any action AS OF YET.

It's funny how people assume that Blizz only takes immediate action on situations.

Go ahead and take a look at the recent banwave. People that haven't used the bot in 2 months are reporting being banned. You do see what that means, right? It means they have been gathering data for at least 2 months before they rolled out the banwave.

Blizz isn't two-faced at all like you claim. They are very methodical in their approach to the enforcement of their policies.

Nah, they won't do anything about it rofl. They don't care about stuff like that, they just pretend to care about botting every now and then as a show of force. Those legitimate bugs that they are to fault for, they aren't gonna piss subs off for. I can think of multiple times friends got free glad for stupid bugs like that. Going all the way back to the combustion bug in cata. Stampede bug was another lol one.

It was a bug created by Blizzard, this is very different than using a bot. They have tweeted that it will be looked into and fixed. Anyone that took advantage of a bug did not break any TOS/ELUA as it was not something from a third party. Its wrong to punish people for something they didn't do, all they did was play the game that was given to them.

And no I don't expect them to take any action immediately, because we all know they won't take any at all

Even if the bug was of Bliz's making, it is an obvious exploit. Taking advantage of an obvious exploit is (up to) a bannable offense. Bliz has banned plenty of people for exploits.
