Current state of the Bot

First of all, I 'd really like to buy this Bot.
Dont get me wrong this sould not be a complaint, I just want to get your Attention on a Product for a great Game that is not working as Promised.
And I really would like to at least see this Bot updated to the Current Game Version so Contributors can add Stuff on their own.

The current state of the Bot is frankly dissapointing.
I did a 3 Day Sub to try it out verry extensivly.
I did collect indepth Informations on the Forum before writing this.

What has been offered.

Best available 3rd party Bot for EA's SWTOR
- no doubt there is no other
Automates daily quests for you, Jedi and Empire
- does not work
Especially dailies on Ilum and Belsavis
- does not work, worst it would be even outdated
Buddy Wing can be used to open chests
- nope
Buddy Wing is good for leveling 1 - 50
- well it is when you use it as a Grind Bot
Works with Windows XP - W10
- check
Easy to setup
- 10 Points, when you read thru all the undocumented Community Posts.


Top 8 Biggest Issues

1. Bot Crashes when Zoning, leaving the Game unplayable, you need to restart Bot and Game.
2. 4 out of 48 Class Routines are working ( https://www.thebuddyforum.com/buddy...olidated-changes-post2090400.html#post2090400 )
3. Bot Lags the Hell out of the PCs, FPS Drops to below 5, for whatever reasons, you can make it a bit better if you mingle with the Routines and Rape your CPU Priority.
4. Current Default Routines are useless in PvP.

6. outdated UI Commands as of Game Version 4.0.3a

if there wouldnt be a few Core Members that are doing the best they can, this Bot would be dead long ago.

thanks for the post I was just looking at getting back in to SWTOR and purchasing buddywing since the WOW Ban.

This bot actually did die a few years ago. We begged them to bring it back, even with no support, and they did. They likely won't ever develop for it, the SWTOR engine sucks for botting.

The bot itself works decent, it's always had the close It to zone issues. The questing profiles yes are outdated because they have changed the whole requirements on questing. The only support is community for the most part but if those who can pitch in the bot can be made great again.

The best thing going for the bot right now is just for lazyraiding at the moment.

It would be nice if we could get some of the bugs fixed on the bot causing a bit of annoyance.

Maybe I can pitch in with the development after I am done with my programming courses for my degree.

Most I can do at the moment is tailor the combat routines to work the way I want them to.

spot on i was going to do this but you beat me to it .. it would not take long for some smart people to look into those issues and fix it . as paying customers we should get a bot that does what its ment to do =)

it's the combat routine that engages when you target a player/enemy/NPC/whatever. Lazyraider is from honorbuddy, it's essentially the "dumb" bot action that doesn't require scripting or setup.

you move the character, it does the fighting for you. except with BW, that's until the game crashes or the bot stops working, or both at the same time, etc. last time i tried BW, combat was the part that didn't work at all, so YMMV.

if the engine sucks for botting then why the fuck is it being sold here as a competent SwtoR bot base. surely Bossland wouldn't rip people off. Its not like he's Blizzard or anything. He's not even offering it as a lifetime key.. it has to be rebought every 3 months which is a fucking rip off tbh

Yes SWTOR engine sux to develop good BW. But its still the best bot out there. I am more than happy to use it and would like to use it in the future. Lifetime keys are probably missing because they will not support it lifetime. Why not buy a 1 year sessions? Bot is not even that expensive as it can get you that money back in no time. Yes they are updating it for the patches and major problems. Aevitas puts a lot of work into it. Believe me. Updates are quick if there isn't any huge differance to SWTOR engine. They wanted to end the bot but then they revive it with updates so its working. Routines are not TheBuddyTeam's issue they are community driven. There is an API if you want to develop. But I agree they have some misleading information on the buddywing.com site regarding questing 1-50 and so on. You can still grind up levels to 60 if you want and original Questing profles were made by Kick. And are therefore not supported because the game changed and noone made changes to that questing profiles. Its not Honorbuddy though and probably never will be. But its still a good usable bot

We don't provide lifetime licenses because of the terrible engine that's powering this game, and the insane amounts of work that goes into it when even the slightest change is made to it - we're literally talking 100+ hours on every medium-sized patch.

Correct. If you enable exploration missions, the bot will start up like normal but messes up during the conversations.

Is there a eta for Heal targeting? This has been a issue for some time now.

Tons of fixes and updates have been applied to the routine the past week, as well as some on BW core level.

Do I have to download the latest version of the bot each day, or how is all the updates and fixes applied?

How will I know if I need to update? And is the combatroutines automatically updated also?

If you have the bot, it will give you a message it wants to update, if there is an update.
