Current state of botting? Really shitty...

There are no profiles what so ever for lvling up your char or for gold farming

The forum sections are filled with only sarkoth gold farming = 100% way to get ur ass banned and Queen/Kulle wich also is being watched like a frikking hawk by blizzard so lvling is out of the plan unless u want to go hand lvl ur bot chars.

The only thing on this forum with a good script is 5avage and Radonic for champ farming act 1 and you need some pretty good gear for it, you barely make any money of it and getting gear is random :'( So thank you to them but ye thats it for scripts to bot right now

Cant we get some developers to make a few default scripts that you can run and stop relying on random people to be kind and post scripts that can be botted?



And for all the Sarkoth/Queen/Kulle scripts! Cant you move them to a new section (extremely dangerous scripts) or whatever

well...iv personally been working on my own profile for the last 4 days. almost got it perfect, (even with a few "random" dungeons. its for act 3 gold farming, i might share it with the community except o feel like that is more chance of me getting banned. my suggestion is to make your own. if no one else is running it, seems less likely you get banned

Just to point out, once you post a profile, now that everyone is trying to escape the other profiles. Those new profiles will most likely become just as dangerous after a few weeks.

All I see you doing is complaining... Read the dev posts, they are working on getting random dungeons working (and it sounds like they are close). Also the A1 champion farming profile does not take crazy gear... You can do it with only 1m. Radonic made a guide.

A well made profile should never matter whether it is public or not. You'd only keep a profile private if it was an extremely limited, repetitive, unrandomised pattern that was easily detectable as non-human - in which case, why are you running it?

While I understand this protectionism, as a plugin developer (can I call myself that? I've never called myself a developer before... but I've made a few plugins now!), I started making them to improve features that annoyed me. I could have so easily kept them all to myself. But I shared them, took on people's feedback, improved them and updated them, implemented ideas and requests from others, helped people out with custom requests... why? Because what goes around comes around, ultimately

Superreeen has made this wonderful plugin that allows some random rolls and if checks in basic .xml profiles you can implement. And soon the Buddy team themselves will offer support for randomised dungeon exploring. I hope the majority of people don't continue to keep profiles to themselves. And if you do keep your profiles to yourself, always ask yourself two things;

1: "Am I myself using anything other than default DB which I payed for" (eg - am I using loot rules, plugins, addons, or anything given freely by the community who didn't just keep that stuff to themselves?).
2: "Is the reason for not sharing this, because this is something easily detectable as a bot?" (if yes, then why are you running it, if no, then why aren't you sharing it).

While I applaud you for your contribution (I myself am using 5/5 of your plugins ) I do think there is a notable difference between spotting plug-ins and profiles.

To give an example. Prior to using your stash plugins, I don't even bother to pick up <61 items (except Jewellery), neither did I bother with killing normal white mobs/opening chests in a normal run. Your plugins simply did what I would have done otherwise, and they are very useful!

There is however a big difference in using public profiles, as the this forum is publicly known, and I bet the warden guys come in here from time-time to swoop out public profile details. It's a simple case of mix and match since DB can't handle randomized profiles/dungeons. If you get flagged and your profile fits a public profile in here, your account is as good as gone.

There is also no way to make the forum private and accessible by payers only, as the warden team can easily afford a ticket in. I myself personally stay clear of public profiles and advise everyone else to do the same, it is NOT safe when they can match profiles.

I do not have background in programming, and IMO, it is simple enough for the average person to make their own profiles with a little time spent in understanding how profiles work. I'm now running several self-created profiles which has the ability to farm large portions of certain acts without getting stuck. I have no qualms with sharing my profiles to the people whom have contributed to making DB better (people like you Giles) though it needs to be done privately and not through the public forum for reasons stated above.

What we really need though is a DB based "random explorer".

You know, if you're feeling up to it - you could always write your own profile and use that. And then feel free to post it up here, and deal with everyone's bugs and problems with it, and support them free of charge. You know, kind of like having a second part-time job .. that you don't get paid for. So.. you know.. go ahead.

Just found it out. Used to lvl all my chars on ZK to 15 by hand and then let `em grind acts with +xp gear. And now i know that there`s no profiles for that. Pity to hear.

Donno abaut Queen/Kulle, but Sarkoth looks really scary now for me too, it was extremley profitable, but i think we all knew it should end. Short games, same actions... And ALL use it. no way to survive.

I`d better get devs to make some <if>/<else> tags in profiles, with random also, so i can make profile more unpredictable. Or to make explorable random dungeons(that`s what they do now, as i know). But devs is devs, let `em work what they think is matter.



And in the end: There`s really like 3-5 tags that you need to know to make a profile 300+gph. And ofcourse some time. So, good luck)

Let's be frank here, the amount we pay for the bot is very little.

What you are expecting it to do, is for it to run flawlessly against the detection services of one of the biggest gaming companies in history, all for that small amount of cash? Give them some time and cut them some slack, maybe they'll come out with a full automated version soon.

While we wait for that, it's NOT that hard to just program some basic profiles by hand, seeing how the tough part of the program has already been done by the DB staff and other random contributors.

Well it costs significantly more than competitors and does virtually nothing in comparison 'out of the box'.

So I don't think it's too much to ask.

People buy bots to save time, coding for a bot you purchased seems backwards.

I'm not complaining, just stating the obvious. I've bought a 3 license, but haven't actually used it due to the bot not working correctly and the recent demon buddy bans.

Queen shouldn't be too dangerous, they are long-ish runs with variable run times. Should be pretty safe. ZK might be a bit suss, I still used it to level all my toons to 50 though.
