Current state of bg botting?

Hey guys, came back this week after about 8 month break from wow. Wondering what the current state of bg botting is. Was thinking of bg botting couple toons from 85-90 in bgs. Is it safe as it previously was?

People will say that it is still dangerous, and to a degree that's true.
It all matters in how smart you go about it.

By the way, to everyone reading this post.
I saw some very exciting talk about Navigation in our internal system this morning.
So you guys will see some exciting changes hopefully in the near future.
