Okay so I was reading up on that Lulzsec hacking group right.. I was going through their twitter etc... Anyway.. This could be pure coincidnece. But I downloaded one of their torrents with a bunch of shit in it.. i thought to myself I will only download the .txt that way incase they have viruses in all the other shit.

After downloading my wow account got disconnected.. I thought it was pretty strange.. Logged back in.. bam disconnected again and password was changed. I quickly changed my email password and did the recovery (All on my main desktop.. I downloaded the text files on my laptop)

So now I am freaking out.. I am running a virus scan because i got Norton 360 with my laptop.. Considering just reinstalling windows though.

Okay but it is the only unusual thing i have done with that account, I haven't downloaded anything else on my laptop. If it wasn't me downloading that random torrent then I don't know what the fuck would of done it..

Im not saying they went out of their way to hack my WoW account. but they are constantly releasing a bunch of forum logins and shit like that. So they could easily of just had a keylogger or whatever in their torrent?

that's why i don't cruise anything on my main comp except for the forums and my bank / paypal. my 'other' comp is for downloading stuff / etc
and then i have another computer just for playing the downloaded media (streamed from my downloading laptop) which is hooked up to my tv =P

not sure its something related, but they have your ip for sure now.

Why do it right after if they can do it some other time you wont suspect them?

Nvmm.. I think I may of found the problem. There is this random folder that has flagged some warnings from my Anti Virus and now when I go to delete it it just says some bullshit and wont let me delete it.

You have to RUN a .exe file for them to be able to do anything. unless they've hidden the code inside the .txt document, and somehow found an exploit that's not yet known and then stole ur wow acc and everything(yeah right)..
