So, I know, I'm crazy, BUT...

I am running Wow on Windows 8 developer preview in Win7 compat mode. Runs fine.

I figured I'd give HB a go and bought the 1 day thing.

When I launch HB (with WoW in Windowed mode, tried both Admin and non admin), it actually crashes WoW... HB then loads with no character/level involved. I was working on trying to get the setup just right with the combo of admin/non-admin/windowed/compat modes, when it decided I'd used the session up. So now I've paid, and can't try it out at all. lol.

Got it to crash again and got the error message:

This application has encountered a critical error:

ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal exception!

Program: C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe
ProcessID: 860
Exception:0xC0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 0023:7301C9EB

The instruction at "0x7301C9EB" referenced memory at "0xFFFFFFE8".
This memory could not be "read".

Press OK to terminate the application.

Windows 8 is not supported.
It is not a released OS. Still in Beta.

Downgrade.

Maybe Tony will help, but idk.

Oh, I assumed it wasn't supported; I prefer to look forward, not back. Eventually, HB are going to have to deal with Win 8, so I figured I'd give them my early results. That's what the Dev Preview is for.... giving developers (like HB), time to get things working before the OS hits the masses. Was more about reporting results than looking for help.
