How I do it (this is all done on a clean wow and clean HB):
1. Launch wow
2. Log in
3. Choose char and realm
4. Wait for loading to complete
5. Launch HB
6. Log in with my key
7. Crashing wow on first injection
8. Letting HB complete the loading to get a complete log

This is on Windows 8. If I try the same wow and HB on windows 7 on the same computer it works. It also works on w7 on my laptop and crashes on w8, so I see a pattern here.

Is there anything I need to do to make it run on windows 8?

I understood form Tony in another Thread that the buddy team do not support the W8 system at the moment.

That's quite clear that it SHOULD work on W8 and that if they don't support W8, and still says that on the webpage. It's clearly mis information that tricks people to buy something that might not work for the moment.

Simple... it does not work with w8 since that is in a closed beta/alpha. They said they will not code HG to w8 yeylt because windows can be revised between now and release.

In another words it would be a waste of dev time to code at this moment.

Tldr; if you want to use HBO use win xp-win7. If you are hell bent on windows8 don't let the door hit you on the way out op.

Anyway, it sucks that HB dev says one thing on the page and another on the forum. This way, people will buy it thinking it will work on W8 and realize it later that it don't.
