Hello. I've recently ran into problem with lags and spikes while using Buddywing. I've tried to both allocating the processors and setting real-time priority and that didn't help. Also i've tried reinstalling the game and the bot, disabling all plugins and changing profiles. Another thing is that after clean install of game client buddywing had smooth first run, but after i stopped him and started again, spikes returned. My setup is i5 3230m 2,6ghz, 3gb memory, w8.1 and i'm using Kicks questing profiles and Default combat routine. Any suggestions?

believe me your ram is vastly maxed.
Windows alone uses 10-30% of your ram.

I can confirm that 2gb is not ok but 4gb is. Not sure about 3gb though... And your CPU frequency is pretty low I suppose thats a laptop?

Sorry for misleading you, but i actually have 6gb of RAM. Looked for the wrong laptop at the first time. So the problem is definately not in my memroy

Yes, it's a laptop, but i've never had a problem with his memory, because in fact i have 6gb and it's definately enough for swtor and buddywing

next time the memory is exhausted switch to taskmanager and see what is using most of the memory. if its swtor thats normal (i recommended you a programm that could help).
I hardly think that its BW- I just saw only a few times where BW was using lots of cpu but not memory. But maybe I was just lucky.

Hi Cyro,

Out of curiosity i ran the bot on my acutal gaming pc

i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40 GHZ 3.70 GHZ
64bit 8.1 Windows Pro
12GB RAM

I think the build is pretty good and I never had problems with running the game in "ultra" and many other programms while gaming.

Now I wanted to bot:

I set all graphics to low and windowed.
I started the bot and it seems to run well.. until it gets infight.

On my botting PC I was aware that my build was not that good so I just tried to get the best out of if for botting

Intel Pentium G3220 3 GHZ
Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit
4GB RAM

Now with this build I understand some lagging (even when it got worse).

What I'm not quite sure about is how BW manages to lag the game when using it with my gaming pc?

Note: This seems to be only a problem when I use my Marauder. The concealment op seems to be working without any problems (I can't tell if there is a difference - maybe defaultcombat settings for marauder or warriors in general.

Edit:
I tested the marauder on my gaming pc but with joescombat. No lags during fight but I cant use this routine as it just wont revive the companion after the fight.

Hardware shouldnt be an issue for this game or bot.
Its more the link between the bot and game.
If im correct the bot was programmed with a 'lower pulse' then C# runs itself.
So lets say the game does a refresh every 5ms but the bot every 6ms.
its shit to link with that.

This was the explaination given a few years back and how interpreted it.

Also i noticed a strange lag in the UseObject 2 nights ago.
Need to dig in it more if i can code it out of my profile.

Thanks for your help, but i found a sort of solution to my problem. I set real-time priority both to bw and swtor and it helped. However, lags didn't go away completely, but they persist only for about 10 minutes after i start the bot, and then go away. But i'm still confused, what may cause them.

Actually there is no suggestion to set priority to bw in any guide

I used to do it anyway but even when using both on high priority it kinda lags around. I have checked my VPN and noticed that my current vpn sever was lacking of connectivity. I changed the VPN location and so far its working better now (to be honest most of the time since the change). I'm pretty sure now that I wouldn't have these problems when turning of VPN but I don't want to risk to have my IP banned.

I've got dynamic IP so i'm not using VPN but I still got lags. I can't blame my connection because it's ok, but since i've started to set a priority to bw it started to run much better.
