Couple n00b questions. Adventurer/Grifts

Hey just got DB all set up. I am running the default greater rifts profile from adventurer that came bundled with DB. I am noticing 2 things.... It seems EVERY item he picks up he turns into crafting materials as soon as he's done with the run. Should I set it to keep anything? If so what/how? Also after doing that he grabs all his plans and stands at the blacksmith and does nothing. I typically have to click away from the blacksmith 5 times or pause bot and go into the next rift to snap him out of it.

update your Trinity and check your items/town run settings plz

I might have figured it out. I hadn't played D3 in like a year and there was an old set of plans that the blacksmith just wasnt having. I through them on the ground lol and problem seems to be resolved.
