Most important I miss there is:

- All bots on one PC? (no vmware, no different machines)

Maybe more refined from the above:

1. Were you botting on one machine per account or several accounts per machine? If only one machine, did you use VMWare or several separate D3 installations?
2. Did you alter the MAC and IP addresses for your machine(s) or installation(s)? If so, please list all services and apps used to hide yourself.
3. Did you socialize by adding, contacting, and legitimately playing with friends with your account or hide in the shadows?

Question 1 targets the most user case setups for who is getting banned.
Question 2 gives us an idea if people are taking the proper steps to hide themselves and still getting banned.
Question 3 is simply here to determine if people are making themselves too public and getting banned because people are reporting them for botting activity.

Here is how I picture the new Ban Report Schema should look to extract more useful information out of the report. Any thoughts or suggestions?

1) What server region where you connected to (The Americas, Europe or Asia)?

2) Were you using DemonBuddy on the account(s) at the same time the ban/suspension occurred? (Kicked offline due to being banned)

3) Were you botting on one machine per account or several accounts per machine? Did you use VMWare or several separate D3 installations for multiple accounts?

3.5) Did you alter the MAC and IP addresses for your machine(s) or installation(s)? If so, please list all services and apps you used to hide your activities.

4) Did you socialize by adding, messaging, and legitimately played with friends with your bot accounts or did you hide in the shadows and go stealth?

5) Did you level your characters manually by hand or by using Demon Buddy profiles?

6) What plugins and profiles were you using and had activated at the time of the ban?

7) How many bots total did you have and how many got banned?

8) How old were your bot(s) before they were banned and how many hours per day on average did you bot for?

8.5) What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot(s)?

9) On average, how many auctions per day per account did you have going at the time of the ban?

10) Did you use the Real Money Auction House (RMAH) to sell items?

10.5) Did you sell gold on the RMAH?

11) If using RMAH, Did you link all your accounts to one Paypal account?

12) Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, Mods, or Exploits?

we will take these into consideration, however as of right now, for buddy staff purposes the current ban forum is more then adequate as long as its filled in correctly and honestly.

Well that's kind of why I posted here with an updated schema. I've seen some of the same questions asked over and over again to those who got banned (after filling out their report) and so the existing form is becoming less effective as more techniques are created to roll their botnets.

So I think some of us who are successfully botting would certainly enjoy getting as much information as we can for the less unfortunate and sincerely hope you consider it.

well its not up to me, but i will link your thread to the person who is in charge of it.

Why add anything? I mean, half of the reports are like this;

"What is your favorite color?" yes

"Did you run all your bots on the same PC or did you use a vm of any kind?" no

CodenameG - especially that actual schema its a bit out of date and generating wrong thinking i think. For example - old times when profiles were 2-3 minutes and ppl were doint it over and over profile was important. These times I think its almost not important. But info about: machines/vmware/interaction is pretty decent info.

I almost do not read actual ban report - because all information are meh november 2012 D3. We just need machines/vmware / v p n/bot interaction, 24/7? and eu/us info ; ).

You should rly add, how many days/weeks were you able to bot before the ban? Suprised it isnt added in the ban form...
