Hi,

As the topic reads, that's my setup. I've also got 12 GB of DDR3 ram on my Asus RAmpage II extreme motherboard. The CPU is clocked to a mere 3.2 GHZ, but I've got HyperThreading OFF atm.

I currently have 3 instances running, but it got an account being lvled as we speak.

When running these 3 over night, my PC has generally gotten relatively hot, though I've just taken off the side now and that helps a lot.

My CPU usage is around 80-90%.

Can this really be right? I feel that my rig is pretty solid, but it sure is being used up by these clients.

Anyone else using almost their entire CPU running 3 bots? What steps have you taken to get past this?

Get MSI afterburner, open that, task manager, and see what's peaking in your system.

Just started OC'ing my i5-3570k, and with the temps and voltages that it's running at, it's a bad binned chip (or just that the voltage runs high cause of 24GB of RAM). But it still OC's to 4.2GHz and with 5 clients, that's 50% CPU usage. CPU benchmarks shows a 920 is around 25% lower score than i5-3570k so you should max around 6-7 clients on CPU.

Also, turn on hyperthreading.

If your CPU gets to hot it's going to be throttled down and 80-90% load is possible if the clock is around 1.5 GHz. How are your temps? You can read them out with Coretemp. Do you have the boxed cooler or do you have another one? The boxed thing is really bad if you want to OC your CPU.

I highly recommend using HT, it makes a huge difference in performance and count of possible sessions. I have an i7 870 @ stock, running 5 bot with around 50% load. So something ist wrong with your CPU (usage).

920 @ 3.4Ghz here, running 5 bots with HD4870X2 n 6GB RAM, CPU at 60% or so (using ISBoxer). I'm getting more memory soon so I'll probably be able to run a couple more.

I actually just enabled HyperThreading. The difference is immense, now running 4 bots at 30% ish load.

Im running 4 bots with an i3 processor and 8gig ram, you should be able to run the double :)

this is from OwnedCore: have not tested it yet, but it might help.
