Hey guys I'm very unexperienced with all this computer building stuff and I don't even know the diffrence between the 2 other than the numbers (higher equals better - can't go wrong :P And yeah of course I've done some research but I'd like opinions that goes with the stuff all together) The setup I'm looking at currently is:

HD(SSD): OCZ Vertex 2 Series Solid State Disk 60 GB

Gfx: MSI N570GTX-M2D12D5 (1.25 GB)

Ram: Kingston ValueRAM 2 x 4 GB

CPU: Core i7 I7-2600 8 MB / Core i5 I5-2400 6 MB

motherboard: AsRock H67M

So which core should I go with, which would fit and am I making any mistakes? Any inputs are highly appreciated :) thanks in advance!

Note: Oh and yeah this is supposed to be able to run the new games (on high maybe even ultra settings) coming this year

In most cases, Core i5 is the way to go. Core i7 will not give many benefits for the cost increase. It is a good rule of thumb to follow. Core i7 is more often designed for workstations running multiple apps (im not talking iTunes + WoW + Honorbuddy) and you really get the most bang for your buck with Core i5. If you play a highend game out now with ultra settings, the highest Core i7 will not be a big improvement over the top Core i5 (and about $600 diff).

hold off brother the new sand chips are comming out in a few months

there gona outpreform the i7 and be on average 20-40% less cost
they just made a huge leap in their manufacturing technology

Go for the i5; hyperthreading, 300MHz extra clock speed and 2MB extra cache isn't worth the price tag of the 2600. I got myself a 2500K last week and it's phenomenal! I would also advise against getting a 60GB SSD, I really don't see the performance increase being worth the money, and if you're planning on installing games on there you'll use that 60GB up very fast.

I have a SSD myself and besides a slightly faster boot time for windows and maybe a faster load time when zoning / loading maps. It would not be worth it (thankfully I got it cheaper for being an intel retail distributor).

get one of my riggs bro

MSI GX660R
Upgraded the processor to i7 920GM
12gigs ddr3
2x200 ocz vertex 2 SSD set raid 0
