Anyone Know of what are the minimum computer requirements to run 5 bots on it smoothly?

Like Speed/Graphic card/Processor and so on , kind enough to recommend a build , thanks !

I know a little about computers , but just not sure how much is needed to run 5 bots smoothly.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

theres a lot of "i need to build a computer for botting threads" if you look around there should be at least 3 of them just this month, thats where you should start.

i run 3 flawlessly with an early i5, 8gb ram and a mid range nvidia

I'm not that good with computer parts either, but I've asked this question before and this is just a transfer of information kinda thing.

Graphic card isn't that important when it comes to botting, the most important parts are the Processor and RAM. For 5 bots 8gb ram would be fine. For processor, you'll get people advocating either i5 or i7. i5 is more than plenty to deal with 5 bots. If you're planning on going the VMware route, it's better to go with i7.

Because the graphic card isn't that important, you can save on the power supply and settle with the highest possible graphic card that the power supply can handle. Example is I had a 550GTX-Ti, which was the most powerful graphic card that I could get that my power supply could handle. A power supply with more wattage beyond that point would cost significantly more (though I can't remember what the wattage was).

Edit: If it's a computer dedicated to botting, then you could probably go for mid-range on all the parts. Also there isn't much difference between a HDD (I'm using a green one no less) or SSD when you're talking 5 bots (based on observation as I have both and tried on both). It does make a difference when you're doing something else on the foreground (my bots lag a tad once I start playing SC2, so I assume the same thing would happen if you were to run any application that would consume a good portion of your PC resources).

I cannot even run a fourth on 8gb

Then you have too many other processes taking up ram. Each D3 instance should take maximum 1gb. You can also reduce the resolution to much smaller than the minimum game res, which lowers CPU/Ram usage significantly.

How can we reduce it that much, please give some tips. :)

I dont even have a pc to bot with atm, but i already know these things:p

After running them for 24 hours straight, RAM usage is ~1.5GB per.

Can someone link the post where it shows how to reduce the resolution to a much smaller one ?
Im also interested into building a multiple botting computer.
5 bots will be just fine,,, so once you get a build ill making it too =]

Was thinking of running

Intel 3570k + Asus P8Z77-V (Z77)
Or
Asus M5A97 PRO X-Fire/U3S6/GBL/HD S + AMD FX8150
RAM: G.Skill RipJawX 1600MHz CL9 (8GB x 2)
SSD: Corsair Force GT 120GB SSD SATA3
Graphic: Asus HD7770 2GB Dual Fan GDDR5
PSU: CoolerMaster Extreme Power 525W
CD/DVD: Anything
Casing: CM Elite K35012cm Fan + Side Window / USB3.0

If there is anywhere i can cut down on specs let me know , want to be cost efficient :D
but want to run 5 bots smoothly. Thanks all!

I think this build is way more than enough for 5 bots , so if someone could guide me along what and where to cut will be great !

I am using this pricelist here . (Mods if nt allowed to post link, let me know i will remove) Thanks.

A cheaper build i am considering is

ASROCK Z77 EXTREME4 + Intel 3570k
RAM: G.Skill RipJawX 1600MHz CL9 (8GB x 2)
SSD: Corsair Force GT 120GB SSD SATA3
Graphic: AS GT640/2G
PSU: CoolerMaster Extreme Power 525W
CD/DVD: Anything
Casing: CM Elite K35012cm Fan + Side Window / USB3.0

I'm botting on a similar setup, runs 5 bots smoothly with power to spare.

i5 3570k
ASRock Z77 Extreme4
16GB Corsair Vengeance
128GB Samsung 830 SSD
EVGA GTX 670 FTW

You might want to get a bigger SSD, I regret not getting a 256GB. I got 5x D3, CS:GO, Windows7, and some music on mine. Already maxed out on space.

If you're going for pure botting the AMD 8150 will run more bots overall.

can i know why amd 8150 better than 3570 btw? thanks :D , Also if i used hdd instead of ssd will it matter alot ?

My load time between WPs is pretty much instant using a green HDD (D3 isn't that taxing on the computer, 5 bots isn't much). Get a black one if you're really that concerned about a few seconds.

If you're serious about D3 botting, get innerspace.

Saves a ton of time, resources, and fidgeting with scripts to tile screens.

Basically 1 half-way decent legendary pays for a year of innerspace.

can i know why amd 8150 better than 3570 btw? thanks

It's not. Bulldozer doesn't even hold a candle to sandy/ivy bridge (especially in regards to power consumption which is important botting 24/7).

So are my specs too much for a 5 bot operation ? can i cut some costs somewhere??
