Computer Specs for 5 Bots

If i plan to run 5 bots 24/7 do i need a cooler?

The best bang for your buck would be to get a capable i5-2500k.

With assorted hardware, it could easily run 5 bots and have room for general computer use as well as adding more bots in the future.

And after-market CPU coolers are essentially mandatory, whether you OC or just want to keep your temps lower.

I52500 is enough?? Also what CPU coolers does anyone recommend?

really? thats funny. the i5 & i7 series have a nice OEM cooling fan that can actually handle a smaller OC (added voltage)

the extreme series that comes with the OEM fan is an incredible fan. its a 900$+ CPU so i would assume you don't.

not all chips require massive voltage that make them overheat. without a OC you can usually adjust thermal throttling as well kinda elminating a need for a nicer fan a small cost of performance.

if your going to spend the money on new parts and an aftermarket part (cooling fan) why not get something a little nicer all around and drop the i5 for an i7?

-edit- and to all those "all-in-one" watercooling solutions, that is just like saying whimsy is the best place for loot.
there is NO comparison between an actual loop of watercooling to some pre-designed tiny POS.

Can I ask how do u adjust thermal throttling and reduce temp?

Ok will take a look at that . How bout a gigabyte mobo against an asus? I was thinking if I need buy a w7 cd too or my old w7 cd for another comp can be reused , but that comp is still running not sure if there will be conflict, I know xp won't but not sure about w7

used both many many times. while gigabyte isnt a bad brand, the ASUS will most likely have more options/more stable of a bios/features. it may cost a little more, but asus high-end line is top notch

I see what board do u recommend and what do u think of my build that I am planning to go

save $ and just get a pirated copy of windows? i mean we aren't exactly saints here

either way. id take the ASUS board over the gigabyte anyday. longevity + build quality + options

If you got the I52500k you were talking abt and can't run 4 bots you're doing something wrong or don't have enough RAM.
I can run 6 bots in separate VMware guests on my i5 2500k @4.5ghz (16gb RAM)
