Alright recently got banned NOT DUE TO HB i believe. I run protection weekly with Spybot S&D, CCleaner, & AVG, seems that I got a keylogger.

I had a keylogger once before on my old laptop but now im just dumbfounded on how I got infected. I dont go on may websites and I stick to the sites i usually got to even for porn same site for years. Never download anything from other websites without researching it a little to see what editors and reviewers say about it.

What antivirius/malware/ whatever else there is do you use to protect your system?

Whoever got my WoW Account seriously fucked my toons up (got it back thanks to GMs account reset). Also what are the chances that something on HB is infected via profile/plugin/CC etc.
 
HB is clean its more likely your porn site(s) they are notorious for crap infecting your system.
Use a sandbox mode to look at porn and that should block most of the crap you get.

Having AV won't stop every single malware/virus etc, much like a condom is not 100% effective to stop you getting wife/gf/woman/hooker pregnant!
 
As much as I would love to put this as a porn site issue Im gonna have to disagree on this one, Ive been using the same ONE sight 6+ years. Its weird but I have more faith in that porn site that Ive been using for a while (i dont get pop ups or download anything from them).

Along with my other protection software I even download Malewarebytes and gave that a scan and it found nothing as well, I'm losing faith in Spybot though.
 
How are you sure it's a keylogger?

Do you use the same password on your WoW account as you do the E-mail account? E-mail account's are more brute attack-able as opposed to WoW accounts.

If you are sure you got a keylogger in all honesty I don't think even the best security expert on the planet could tell you exactly how you got infected as the methods used by attackers are really vague and really unpredictable. To keep my computer secure I swear by AVG free and keep it updated when ever I remember on top of using Malwarebytes scans every so often (Malwarebytes has a really high detection rate).. Also hitman pro is a good one you might want to look into.

It's also vital to keep your operating system updated to patch zero day exploits or other methods attackers can use to gain your info. If you look at how many security patches there are already for windows 7 & 8 you will be surprised at how many loop holes there are open and regular users don't know it.

Oh and another awesome tool that is not only a security add-on but for general internet surfing pleasure is ad-blocker pro add-on for firefox / chrome. Seriously, it's the best.
 
I will look into this ad-blocker i think i got a different one but does the same thing on firefox. No I didnt use the same password for both accounts, the fact that he was able to hack in twice within the matter of 12 hours makes me believe it is a keylogger on my Desktop.

Still using my laptop currently for WoW, while browsing and cleaning my desktop, deleted all threats that my softwares could detect. I think I should be good now but still a little skeptical never had someone hack me twice like that before fucker was even able to put a cell phone for the SMS recovery thing on my account which could be the way he got me the 2nd time luckly i was able to get that removed

I'd say do a clean reinstall of Windows to reformat the HDD and clean install everything.
That way you can be sure you are free from infection, I'd also look at setting up sandboxes to go on the internet with so you don't get anything trying to put "totallynotavirus.jpg.exe" in your cache files before running a nasty on you.
 
When you surf porn or any other suspicious websites use Firefox + NoScript addon and only allow scripts from websites you know... thats the best protection for you right there.
 
don't use internet explore
it's nto for a reason that Germany recommend to not use it

google chrome has also an extension for noscript
