Hello good folks! and thanks for reading my post (:

Ill keep it short,
I want to build a bot-only pc for running a Party of bots (3-4)

I have no backround at the field and all i know is that cpu is the memory of the computer and ram is also (??) anyway,
i though to get some input from veterans here so i can go with a list to the computer shop near my house and built it (:

(i dont know the most important aspects of botting pc since its not realy like gaming)

Currently i use Macbook pro (with bootcamp) and he barley withstand 1 client as it heats to 100 Celsius

thanks in advanced!

I have an i7 3930K, sabertooth x79, ati 7970, 8gb RAM, additional proc cooler, and win7 x64bit for memory extension.

I run up to 8 WOW bots (or used to), currently running without any problem 2 D3 bots @30 tps.

This build has more than one year, and still powerfull

Hope i helped

hey there! thanks for reply,
i7 3930k is processor i know (how much does it cost?)
what are the rest? ^_^

Processor: i7 3930K
Motherboard: Sabertooth x79
GPU(Graphics Processing Unit): ati 7970
Memory: 8gb RAM
Cooler: replacement proc cooler
OS (Operating system): win7 x64bit for memory extension.

For the prices, you should check google for that, every country diff prices&taxes so..

A year ago i paid like 1k7€. Today i think you'll have it for 1k€

wow thats abit expensive, what is the most important aspect of botting pc that i need to invest in and maybe buy cheaper things at other aspects

How many bots do you want to run? There isn't really one component that will be most important, they are all pretty important imo.

RAM: Will depend on how many bots you want to run. Unless you're running a huge operation, I'd start with 8GB. If that isn't enough you can pickup 4GB sticks pretty cheap.
Graphics Card: Get something with at least 2GB of dedicated memory.
CPU: AMD or Intel is up to your personal preference, and any of the medium to higher end models will be fine.
Cooling: Make sure you have a good cooling setup. 100% you want to replace the stock fan that comes with the CPU because they are almost always shit. You don't have to go all out for liquid cooling systems, but make sure you do your research with how to setup fans/how many you need.
MOBO: Don't go cheapo, but I don't think you need to spend a ton of money on this.
PCU: Also don't want to skimp on this, but no need to buy the max high end.
Case: Any case is fine as long as it's large enough to house the components. Good cable management will help increase air flow & benefit cooling, so you don't want something that barely fits everything inside.

Get 8 gigs of ram. You don't need an expensive i7 processor for just 3-4 bots, just get a cheap i5 or an AMD. Don't buy a fancy video card. I ran 12 bots on a card with 1gig vram. Get a cheap mobo. Get a cheap psu. Get a cheap case. I'd imagine you can build a tower to run 3-4 bots for $400-$500 at most.
