Coming back after 6 months. I see people advising reformatting/deleteing wow is that

Is it needed? I am not able to reformat, I had 4 accounts banned and 1 account is still clean.

Saw someone say something about a program that deletes wow/hb from the registry anyone have a link to that?

ALso, some odd questions

Since i bought some Glad CR from the buddy store, i assume ill just level a new hunter - are hunters useful for low level dungeon farming? assuming the pet doesnt 1 shot everything. I used to use a feral druid for that task...

also, are CR like TuanHA's profiles going to be updated for legion?

Hunters are the single worst class for low level dungeon farming.

As far as your other questions go, go read the specific threads for the rest of your questions. You obviously have seen threads for at least a couple of your questions.

I saw a single thread where they alluded to it. I looked at first 2 pages of ban discussions but never saw any specifics.

And damn on the hunter farm

The experience of one user is hardly a proof for anything.

Specially when it comes to this matter. For newcomers, they might perfectly be confusing the usual account locking for using known VPN's with bans.

But reinstalling and formatting is a complete different aspect, which have in the past helped many people get blizz off their tracks.

You heard about Blizzard changing their approach to offenders? They are doing so. They didn't investigate this in the past....now they do. Better gettin used to it, imho.

Can you actually provide some real evidence of this? People keep saying they read in a thread that it helped someone else, but I've yet to actually see these magical threads where people have re-formatted and avoided being banned again.
 
It's 100% placebo. People do it because it makes them feel better, but it has no real effect.

Real evidence? That's asking for something impossible. Exactly like it would be if I were to ask you for any evidence if you stated the opposite as a fact.

Given that we don't know the ins and outs of Blizzard banning methods, as nobody does with 100% certainty, real evidence can NEVER be provided.

But, as many multi-bot farmers have told here along the years, myself included, when you had blizzard upon you, you were banned within hours after creating new accounts. Changing IP's and MAC's is a 10 second process, which everybody did. It didn't help. Cleaning the registry, takes 2 seconds with a bat file. Didn't help. Formatting, and especially, downloading different wow installations for each bot that I was gonna use, did help in my case and plenty of other multibotters I've spoken to.


Ban section is right there. I'm pretty sure you've followed it over the years, specially when you could reply there. There are useless reports and not-so-useless ones. Information is there, but you need to take your own conclusions.

Also, there has been several threads about obfuscating measures in this forums. You know it, because you actually posted on some of them. You can use the search function as well as anybody else, if not better.

That's my point.

I spend as much time on these forums as anyone, and I've yet to see any of these magical threads from people saying that formatting has fixed their issues....Yet there seems to be people saying there is posts all over the place about formatting fixing people's flagged problems. So where are they?
 
I've been reading the Anti cheating agreement of WoW recently, and, if I recall correct, blizzard asks you permission to do 3 things:
- Scan the WoW process
- Scan your RAM
- Scan other processes currently running on your OS.

So I don't really understand where all this 'Blizz is scanning your IP/MAC/Hardware ID/ Windows activation key/registry/your porn collection' is coming from?
 
In my opinion its entirely unfounded in evidence. Do it if it makes you feel better and you can handle the nuisance it creates. Until (if ever) there is actual evidence or even a true remote possiblity that it can effect your ban chances, I will continue to not bother doing it.
 
Takes like 1 hour max to format and reinstall everything on a SSD PC, if you want a tin foil hat do it.

Until we know how blizz really go about their shit we will never know.
