Anyone doing this with some success? any problems? my guild wants me to raid on a feral druid but i dont know/dont like his rotation so i figure i could help out using a combat routine with enyo

any imput and suggestion/words of caution are appreciated

thank you for the details, ill gladly look into them, my other question is that I know that PVP is getting targetted hard right now with bans, whats your take on using combat routines in Raids, is it just as scrutinized?

I would say not even close to as scrutinized. You're helping players in raid with good DPS. You're harming half the players in PvP matches. Also if you're doing your job they shouldn't really notice you doing TOO well. I would think only people who do poorly.

I agree however I was in very busy guild on a busier server (US) and my Warlock was pointed out over vent as urealistic DPS for my gear level, they didnt come right out and call me a bot but you could read between the lines as well there were a few smart ass remarks toward me before I quit playing the Warlock and eventually left the guild..that was prior to my ban in May 2015 (ban wave)

Bottom line, those that have been around the block for a long time can easily spot the CR users especially the ones that can unrealistically blast the dps like the warlock can with Dotting everything etc.
I wished I could find a Botting guild and be able to trust people ..it would be fun to play with like minded people but I doubt that would work for more than 2 weeks lol..

Our guild doesn't mind, but they do ridicule you if they find out and disregard your dps/hps because of the fact you're botting. Just have to be outright honest with them from the start.
GM might kick due to being a bot though since I wound up losing our main healer (me) over this BS...twice.

P.S. Tuanha is beastly, but it's obvious to other players that you're using it.

thank you for your replies guys, ill make sure to do this the smart way, i wish to approach the whole thing casually and im in a small guild to get experience and items before moving on to a stronger guild that is more capable

Ohh the other thing that helps with some of the combat routines is the ability for it to pause the routine when it detects a manual cast..I know Tuanha has this coded into his stuff and its very useful when running a CR so as not to be botlike

Why would you ever want to tell anyone you are botting? Just bot, but make sure you KNOW YOUR CLASS/SPEC so you don't look like a clown when they ask questions. Botting is frowned upon, people get jealous that you can just turn a bot on and jerk it and top the meters, while they are trying their best to top the meters while paying attention to mechanics. If your friends say you're pulling insane numbers, tell them its a AOE fight and you're a lock, its one of the top DPS classes. Just pug and get gear, find a new guild to raid with and bot, they don't know you and won't question your DPS.

Edit: On a side note, you tell anyone you bot, even a close friend, you are compromising your account. Fall outs do happen, and if your friend gets mad at you for what ever reason and decides to report you, GG. If you bot, just keep it to yourself, no one needs to know how you play the game, they just need to know you play it.
