Combat Routine Development at a halt?

So I've leveled 5 characters to 90 recently, and I haven't been able to find a solid CC that is still being developed for ANY of them.

Most recently, discipline priest has only one somewhat updated routine.

Mage had no well-working routine for me...and its painful to watch Singular mage freeze then turn and run away instead of just blinking or something.

Not to mention the combat routine forums are pretty empty.

Anyone know what the deal is? I don't really think its due entirely to the expansion...I don't recall any expansion having this little development.

The deal is simple:

Paid routines forced most developers to stop offering free work. ;-)

I hope the buddy team is trying to do something about it. I don't want to have to double dip pay to get a well working bot..

Slowly strangling the community. Didn't they say long ago they weren't allowing people to charge for routines?

The problem is....: even if the devs dont talk about it, the users do.
The rules should be stricter, but it seems noone cares.

Personally I like paying for good Combat Routine's for PVP because at least the developers keep them up to date and listen to your requests, why? because you put money in their pockets ;)
Free Developers, which CAN MAKE good Combat Routines.. can just ditch the project and your left with a out of date non-working routine because it was just a hobby to them.

Exactly. If I were a dev and spent hours each day keeping my routines updated only to listen to people complain and ask for changes, I would want a little something to promote motivation as well. Most of the dev's that make routines with paid versions also make free versions with fewer features.
