Combat Bot uses melee on my mage?!?!

im new to the bot so i may be missing something but, my mage is hitting the target with his staff not spells... at melee range which is really bad.
i tried using a different bot (lazy Rider) but no change. Please let me know if you have any sugestions.

sorry like i said im new to this. not sure how to pull a log... but i did get him to cast but in Fire spec he only casts frost spells and vise versus... its driving me mad!
