This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy.

This quote is simply not true, sure - I was playing the AH (NO AHBUDDY) but who doesn't?

Is this a report from a competitor on the AH?

What chance have I got to dispute it if I phone Blizzard?

That has to be the most ridiculous thing said on this forum lol, why wouldn't i dispute it if there was a chance the ban could be reversed? Morality? Yeah..ok

I've read about plenty of people who have had this and had it reversed.

If it was a ban for using 3rd party application then yeah, it would be another story...

EU must be softies then. They can tell you were using 3rd party applications and removed the perm ban, but said here you go, one more chance?
 
I was issued the same warning on US server. They said i was involved with gold trading and abuse of economy...which was complete BS. but i was botting. I disputed, they said they reviewed my account ( played since beta opening) and said I was good to go.. no threat of future reprimands either.../shrug. I don't bot nearly as much as i used to. I play less then 1 hour a day and a couple hours on the weekend. I progress my characters and such, so its less phishy. I mainly use combat bot. cause i'm just to lazy to face roll the keyboard anymore these days. And...wtf who doesn't use a mining bot haha ;-)

Through emails :P

Nah but I had an account get banned. Actually my first ban ever, got it overturned 1 hour after I started working on it the next day.
I chatted with a live chat GM, who told me to send an email, sent it, back up and inscribing in no time.

I just went to the website and clicked dispute. And there was no option for a personal message to reply with. The email also claimed that I was possibly a victim of being hacked and involved in gold trading. Which neither was true. I had mobile authenticator also. I had to change password as well per the account freeze/ban. I had the account up and running the next day. Was botting again the next week. Just don't be greedy and play stupid from here on.
 
Just say your inquiring as to why it was locked and if there is anything you can do to insure your account is not compromised again.
 
I write them that I was disconnected from B-NET and then some lua errors and then disconnected from server... They unban me a lot more than not...
 
Hello i was yesterday banned 12x accont for same thing and some i get them back...... you need to use your brain......... is luck 100% because look i did ticket bla bla bla... they told me i bot ... after i did press i stil have a problem and a second gm told me me accont was hacked ! so.. is luck sir! is not a unban specialist this don't exist i think is luck depens gm the new gm are verry good person the yong guys from team so...... are some gm who type emotions like :P :D :> ....... if you get a gm like this........ you will get luck me opinion is ticket them till you get a nice gm:) and with a good story also use your brain!. sorry for me english.
