Client crashed upon login and now the new key I just bought doesn't work.

I just purchased a 1 month 1 session key earlier, got the new key via email, but when I opened the application and put the key in, it immediately crashed. I opened it again, re-input the key, and now it says 'max sessions' and will not work. What happened here? I feel like I just got fleeced out of what I spent on it.

Do I have to buy another key or what?

Make sure you're using the standard launcher and not quicklauncher. If it continues to crash please post a log from the logs folder.

Sessions will timeout after a few minutes, if you want you can manually terminate them via https://eu.buddyauth.com/
You can also edit GlobalSettings.json and change KillOldAuthSessionOnMaxSessions to true and then it will kill inactive sessions automatically.
