chat sound not working

What's the problem that you're having?: I am not getting a sound/soundfile when someone is sending me a meassge
Windows version?: Windows vista 64 bit
What bot are you having problems with? all
What profile are you running? no idea ;/

so the title says it all, when i get a message i do not get a sound, i tried reinstalling it and such.

are you talking about wow itself or for a plugin or something?

umm just in general, wow sound works find, reffering to the bot, my one friend says he hes get a beeping sound when he gets a message, its nothing big but it would be nice he says he doesnt use any plugins but default so i have no idea.
