Characters flagging themselves <away>

My neighbor just informed me that my DK was on <Away> status most the night, but I was grinding away mobs. Also just noticed my paladin running a mining profile for about an hour was also on <Away>. Never looks good to be away/afk/dnd while botting so why are my characters doing so?

Dk gained 2 levels, and about 600g in vendor trash, so I know he wasn't just sitting there. Any thoughts? Anyone else have problems with this?

WoW bug since 4.0

I had auto clear afk checked, and I was away most of the day last saturday when running BG's by hand. Nothing I could do would clear it. Actually I think I manually did it but thats besides the point. Once you go away, I dont think it drops. Ive seen people talking in org with <away> and while they could have probably set it, its more than likely they did not.
 
Would explain why I randomly got the <away> tag last weekend in AV, and saw several others with it as well. Should I be worried about it? Devs?

Well it certainly cant be GOOD. If someone suspects you as botting and see you as away, bug or not, they'll be more likely to report you.
 
But if legit players are having the problem as well the risk should be lower. Anyone figure out a way around this?
 
if there's a jumping plugin that's updated, that'll fix it, when you jump your no longer 'away' I had the problem before 4.0
 
I was getting it on my legit toons as well, and I was moving and what not, not really sure how to get around it other than to manually go to the option and set available.
