Character transfer declined. Have I lost my toon?

Hey guys, I'm looking for some advice.

in 2009 I bought a wow char of some guy on a wow auction site so the name attached to my battle.net profile is not mine. Last week I paid for a char transfer between servers and everything went smoothly. I used this char as a enchanting and jewl crafting toon. Now all of a sudden this character is locked and i get a message saying "unable to log onto the char until transaction is complete".

It turns out I entered my CC details wrong on the character transfer page and apparently I have to call blizzard billing to sort it out. Until I do this my character is stuck in a limbo between the two servers. Have I lost this toon? Im guessing if I call blizzard they wont just let me send them money via paypal they will ask for ID verification?

Just call them and give them correct CC infos, and they will make a payment. Only locked as you wrote, they didn't get any money and they want em.

Will they not ask why the CC name and address is different to the battle.net name and address? I'm worried it will seem like a hacked account.

I'm about to call. Does anyone have any experience with this? The name attached to the account is not my own and I will be paying with a CC that is in my real name.

Any info would be appreciated!!!

My bankcard is in my wifes name and we use it for all the payments to blizzard. The battlenet accounts are all in my name, they don't ask any questions. My wife did not take my last name either so the cards dont share a last name.
