(CHAOS FARMING GUIDE) Sharing what I've learned

first off, I've only botted for about 2 months (?) so I wont say that I'm an expert in botting just yet. feel free to disagree or comment suggestions. i will edit this if im proven wrong.

1) you need to know the optimal iiq/iir rate for farming
-the formula for currency gained (mixture of ACTUAL currency drops + rares + uniques) is C = (1+(IIQ/100)) * (1+(IIR/100))
-best number of "C" = 6~8, more than 8 is all luxury and is NOT needed
-high "C" is important but dont prioritize this over clear speed because the faster you clear, means the faster you kill mobs. the faster you kill mobs, the less chances of them killing you. doesn't matter how high your "C" is if you're dead right?

2) you wont benefit much from mapping because there are only 6 portals and you're only aiming for chaoses.
-know that farming static maps is dangerous, so make sure you have a scheduler and zone changers to LESSEN your chances of getting banned. (yes, you will get banned eventually).
-don't bot for 24/7. its not worth the time invested for every character you make after each bans. time=currency

3) its better to bot with the lowest possible graphics you can achieve.
-turn off vsync always.
-type -nosound at launch options of steam to prevent some crashes (if youre crashing).
-change texture_quality in production_config.ini in my documents>my games>path of exile. (highest graphics=1, i dont think theres a limit to the number, but I myself have set mine to 15)

4) its not worth the time to invest on qualitying everything up to 20% to get the extra chaos. heres why:
-you take time picking up those scraps
-it takes 80 scraps and 20 whetstones everytime, and bot takes too long clicking 100+ times
-if you decided to stop picking up scraps and whetstones and buy them instead, it STILL takes time to find sellers and it costs chaos as well.

5 & 6) invest on a portal skill so you dont have to pick up portal scrolls. i dont pickup wisdoms anymore, what i do is i sell transmutations for at least 24 stacks of wisdoms and restock everyday.
-you'll be surprised as to how much time you save after you stop picking up every scrolls and scraps/whets.

7) i found that setting bot's "map exploration before new instance" to 90% is optimal.

8) dont over invest on your character
- have only enough offense to 1 shot trash mobs/magics. rares and uniques will always take more than 1 shot
- have only enough defense to not get 1 shotted by voll. remember that dying will make you lose time. time = currency
- take into account that you can get banned any minute, so the more you spend, the more you'll lose after the banhammer gets you

9) switch stuff around your character to get the fastest clear speed, while keeping C=6~8
- since timers only applied on maps and not dried lakes, i personally record my clear times using my phone
- whole map clear = time it takes before bot finishes maps and open new instance.
- switch your auras to find the best one for clear speed ex. haste vs hatred

10) more MS = faster clear speed. im personally using 2 quicksilvers just so i'd never run out.

Quick phone edit : remember to set your bot to pick up only what is valueble to you. Example: i dont pick up augs because its so cheap and i dont craft. I only pick up transmutes every other day so i dont run out of it for my wisdoms. No flasks pickups, no gem pickups with 0 quality.

I will try tomorrow if i can get bot to only pick up rares for the chaos recipe and completely skip the alteration farm, for PURE chaos farming.

And get fast boots for movement!
I didn't notice any improvments from changing texture_quality. Still same GPU usage, same CPU usage, no FPS boost. It's only making you suspicious to devs.

i used to stutter because of so much movement speed. this was prevented by lowering texture_quality. so for me, it helped. i think maybe the performance increase is multiplicative. 0x1000 is still 0 if you get what i mean haha.

never used such a formula, but well, i guess it ain't be a bad choice.

i am quit happy with my actual build/equip, but i already invested too much
few people here are talking about their "cheap glasscannon" builds
but i doubt it's that easy to equip with iiq/iir, reach high dps, keep deaths low for 62-72maps AND buy this equipment cheap.

i haven't found a nice bot equip/build which costs less than 10Ex.
If you start from zero you need a bit of luck to gain ~10Ex that fast.

Blasphemy + Enfeeble + Arctic armour and you are fine even ungeared OpieOP

i can try to use blasphemy + enfeeble instead of curse on hit.

but it don't know if its a good idea to use arctic armour with my blood magic build (BM keystone), because there is life reserved.

If you're farming dried lake it's useful, else maprunner overrides this option, it's under oldgrindbot settings
