Hi,

is there a way to change the start position in WSG, before the gates open?

its hardcored on HB engine
in the future we will have some changes on that(random waypoints)
but for now you cant change it

Thanks for the fast answer, would be nice if you can add such a feature in the future. I made my own WSG hotspots, and I wanted the bot to leave the house from above, but it looks too bad, when the bot goes from the tunnelgate to the house exit

yes you are right
your request is fair and noted

Well in the SS below there are literally 4 ppl standing in one spot. In the meantime should we not bot BG's?

you can bot Bg's
this fix will come in the future

I wouldn't recommend botting in WSG in the current state. Besides the starting point, the bot simply runs the same circular path over and over again. Tried using HB2 and deleted the hotspots in the profile to see if it would navigate more "randomly" but it still continues to follow the same circle. Maybe the entire path is hardcoded?

Is there anyway to have the bot follow other players? Or simply stand in the flag room and defend?

Joker, that means I can't get extra honor from random :| :(

You can certainly queue up for randoms and bot WSG if it comes up.

I'm simply stating that the pathing for WSG in particular is very obvious and could get you reported. WSG only has 20 players (19 excluding yourself). If someone spots you running the same path over and over without following the group and/or going for an objective, they may report you.

Just use your judgment and be safe.

the mesh is setup that way, if you want it to stop running in the "circle", you have to remesh the battleground.

add some points to the core xml file. Like a couple in the flag room, maybe a couple outside between the graveyard and the entrance... adding a few small changes can go a long way :) i've done it and never been reported for botting in bg's :)

I thought HB2 doesn't use meshes? It was recommended to delete hotspots from the profiles and the new nav system would take over, but I didn't see that happening.

Care to elaborate a little more on this, or share your points? I don't know where to edit the points in the core.xml, the only thing I've ever messed around with was meshing in HB1. Not quite sure how things work in HB2, or what can/cannot be edited.

I think some helpful tips on editing the path (especially in WSG) can go a long way in helping prevent people from being reported.

It would indeed be nice if this could be changed, but always with these kind of things I don't think a real player that doesn't use a bot will notice.

WSG is just sucky as it is coded.
Maybe these changes in BG detection prevention should be on top on the to do lists. Safety > All

we will have a fix soon but atm PVE(questing and full nav)is on top of priorities

I released a WSG mesh awhile back, people say it doesn't work but it should work with HB2. If it looks like it isn't working, just give it a minute. It is computing the pathing.
