Hey guys!

I'm using Virtual Machines for Botting and my 4930k runs at the limit with my current constellations.

I have an offer to exchange it without any costs for a Xeon E5-2665.

Is it worth to take it for pushing up Virtual Machines ?

Its current 6 Cores 12 Threads with 4.3 ghz vs 8 Cores 16 Threads running 2.4 ghz, i guess the turbo doesn't matter that much because it doesn't push it to 3.1 on all cores.

So whats your advice? If i'm able to run 30 Bots inside VM's instead of 20 I would take it but I'm note sure if the missing clock speed isnt thaaat good to push 5 VMs more with 10 Bots.

Why not buying a second 4930K?
Well, calculate the cost/bot to get the best set up. Personnaly i tend to buy a new computer instead of a full upgrade

He is obviously incapable of such a calculation and need our help.

Buy a used computer if you have the space and don't mind the extra fan noise. It's cheaper.

Did you two even bother to read his post?

True, i totally missed that part.
So basically, what s your extra cost extra cost (motherboard, Ram...)?
Now, for the part of how many bots you can run with VM, i don't think you ll get any solid advice. People tend to speculate a lot on CPU potential: "i m at 40% load with 15 accounts so i can easily run 30"...
