Chance Of Getting Banned?

I bought a 2nd account, but I was stupid and registered it in my name. If I bot this account and sell gold and get banned will they go after my main?

Blizzard clearly state in the terms and conditions that any account with associated contact and payment details can and will be banned. Though, through personal experience I haven't found this to be true.

Alright thanks, I guess I will just buy a 3rd account. I will use that to farm and then send the gold to my main.

Which if sending gold to main stil creates a related account setup that can be banned. Just letting you know. If there are NO connections (guild friends list mailings gold/item exchange) between your important no-bot account and your botting account for gold then your safe, any other connection could lead to multi-ban. Though many smart and thinking users here who DO NOT sell gold for real$$$ have avoided banning completely, be smart. (nothing wrong with selling gold... it just leads directly to account banning)

Alright, hmm well I am in a pickle... I guess I will just COD stuff in mail to the bot account and pretend I am buying stuff.

Im actually a little worried about mine also, i bought a new account, dummy details and stuff, have not logged into my main and will not until i get an 80 on the botted account, i havent added any firends from my old one, joined a random guild and am not going to send ANYTHING from my main to alt and vice versa. I think it should be right, there are like millions of players and to do an inviestigation into an account is highly unlikely on blizz behalf as they take about 50 days to get back to your emails so you can imagine how busy they are......
