Cash From Archeology?

Can you make money with Archeology? I don't car if its much just looking for a why to make a little cash. Just started up WoW again fresh (after almost 2 years). I'm not a huge fan of selling shit on the AH but if that's the only way ill do it.

Just started the Arch side of the game and so far its nice, a tad slower then questing but smooth and safe i feel. Just curious if after you get your skill up (i'm still lvl 100 ish) can you make some cash or is it still pretty piss poor?

Agree with Anonuzer01. Some of the grey items sell for a few hundred gold, but you won't get enough of these to use it as a steady earner.

Ive made probably 8000 or so gold from archaelogy alone. But I botted it up from 0 to 525 on like 3 or 4 chars.

At 525 I'd say Archaeology is worth about 1 - 1.5k a night.

You would do better getting mining and herbalism up to 525 and making 5k+ a night if all you want is gold.

Archaeology has awesome stuff like raptor mounts etc though so it depends on what you're after.

There's the things that make each item complete quicker (tablets etc) you could sell these for a bit of extra gold.
