Cant update the pf bot due to my bit defender classifying the exe file as being infected. Cant add it to be excluded as the minute it detects the file it removes it saying its a virus: Gen:Variant.Graftor.265446.
Even if i tell it to recover the pokefarmer.exe it will immidiately disinfect and remove it.

Currently i cant even restore the old 66 version which is wierd.

Also what exactly did u add to the update that triggers this ? Im familair with false positives but if i read up on this particular virus i am hesitant to just turn of bitdefender completely. Because its classified as being some form of malware.

Please advise on what to do ty.

1) download file, let bit defender detect it.
2) add an exception for that folder
3) turn off bit defender now
3) delete the folder and re-extract it to the same path/folder
4) turn on bit defender and it should work fine for you

Can't extract (Bitdefender)

After having the same issues as the previous user, I added the Pokefarmer folder as an exception and then tried to extract the zip file, but now it stops every time with the pokefarmer.exe file. Both with winrar or 7-zip.
Any suggestions?

;(

tried to redownload it?

tried all the suggested stuff but as soon as i turn bitdefender back on it will detect and remove the exe even with the folder being in exceptions. Its really odd as i have put files or folders in as an exception multiple times in the past and this is the first time i have an issue.
I have no clue how to fix t other then deinstalling bitdefender which i wont do for obvious reasons. Whats also strange is that Malware bytes doesnt even see the .exe as infected (yes i have that installed aswell).

tripping one thing i have learned is that having bultiple antivirus/antimalware programs running at once does more harm than good as many tend to clash from time to time. Personally Malwarebytes is good enough, and if you are having issues with your bitdefender you have 2 options

Option 1: remove bitdefender and just use malwarebytes

Option 2: contact the support for bitdefender and let them know what the issue is, let them know you have gone over everything with the support team of the program being affected, and that we know the issue lies with the program itself flagging it as a false positive.

I know those aren't the options you wanted to hear, but they are the honest ones. Please let us know what you decide and let us know if we can be of any further help.

I have the same issue with Vipre. Even turning it off updating then running my AV stops and deletes me. GG.

Generic virus code potentially unwanted software.

Edit: this is the ONLY update that did this.Have updated multiple times in the past with no issues.

I would just honestly turn off bitdefender then.

He doesn't need to start a new thread because that's the message oyu get when you try to install it and your AV blocks the exe file.
Same thing happened to me, when I tried the auto-update.
New install didn't work as well, as I wrote earlier because the trojan is caught in the zip file or upon extracting in the temp folder that is created.

Actually as per forum rules, he does indeed. No hi-jacking of support posts is permitted as per here: https://www.thebuddyforum.com/pokef...cial-support-read-forum-guidelines-rules.html so spartanflame it would be appreciated if you didn't try to tell the moderators that people are allowed to break the rules.

Tripping have you made any progress so far?
