Hello, I got some problems get a mesh working, its the first time im building a mesh and a profile in HB but after 2 hours of unsuccessful tries I start to believe there is a power above me that don't want me too bot.

Just too know I starting from a fresh mesh I start with the option "Clear Mesh".
And then I simply hit the "Start Mapping" button, and my debug starts to spam lines like this:
[23:10:06:509] Object reference not set to an instance of an object. - From: Styx

When I did search for this I did find one thread that Bossland wrote, but ive been testing all those options that was suggested.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10)Im getting this strange error: "Error - tickObject reference not set to an instance of an object.
:IsObjectUnderground(748653476)", what am i doing wrong?
Possible solutions:
*) Install .NET
*) Reboot your computer.
*) Run Gatherbuddy as administrator.

^--- This ain't exactly the same line, but it was as close I could get.

Ive been doing the profile already so that part is done, and I get no complains from HB when I load it.
So it seems too be only the mesh file that is fighting with me, I've also thought this could have something too do I didn't use enUS keyboard layout from the beginning, but nothing changes even if I change this.

Ill hope anyone got a suggestion what too do.. :-/

I made a new profile, and now when I press Start Mapping I get this instead:
[11:57:00 PM:988] Unable to read beyond the end of the stream. - From: mscorlib

Same issue for me as well (as the OP). Reinstalling .NET or a fresh download of HB does not help this problem. I experiencing the same errors on both my home rig (Win7 Ultimate x64) and spare rig at work (WinXP Pro x32 SP3). Sometimes I can successfully create a new mesh by loading a previously established profile and mesh first - then clear mesh - then Start mapping and save to new mesh file. However, this is very much hit and miss, mostly miss.

Answering to bump the thread - hopefully we can get some clarification on whether this is an application/environment bug or if there's a specific mesh creation process that needs to be spelled out better than what the generic guide offers.

Thanks in advance,

dpawn

If I look @ the logfile it is this line that repeats all the time:

[12:32:38 AM:391] Object reference not set to an instance of an object. - From: Styx at Styx.Global.get_CurrentProfile()
at Styx.Logic.Common.Looting.Pulse()
at ..()
at Styx.FiniteStateMachine.Engine.Pulse()

Perhaps that could bring us closer too an solution?

I now did test too load another profile, and then used the "Start Mapping", and it seems too work. Problem found, now I will check what possibly could be wrong with the profile file. Ill with reply what I did found out later soon.
