Can't connect to auth servers

I've looked at my BitDefender config to see if it was blocking the connection. It's not.

Since I posted I have been investigating possible causes on my end. It does look like BitDefender is flagging the polymorphic .exe as malicious and it's getting sent to quarantine. Before that, there must have been a (software) firewall rule in place to block tcp connections to buddy.auth.

The problem is definitely on my end. I'm trying to find a solution that doesn't invovle me turning off BitDefender entirely.

For what it's worth. I had to disable "Advanced Threat Protection" in BitDefender, then re-install DemonBuddy (because it had quarantined the .exe and symlink).
