Can you still make $ with diablo 3?

Hello,

I was wondering if it was still a good market. I know gold value crashed and it's almost impossible to make a good living out of it but does items still sell good? I want to purchase a lifetime demonbuddy and was wondering if it would be easy to at least make that 40$ back .

Anyone still make money farming items?

Well its all about luck, in theory you can get a 250 euro item drop even in this economy, its just the ods are extremely small. All in all, this is the worst time to start botting for profit, but if you just wanna learn how stuff works and get to know the program/community better, sure why not. Just dont expect miracles out of a single account when it comes to profit

Not really unless you sell them well below minimum price otherwise they can sit on RMAH for weeks. Almost all items are completely worthless now just a few still are in demand. To make 250$ from a single item now (it's actually ~210 after fees) it has to be a godly-top-10-on-the-whole-server-BiS tier and even then don't expect it to sell quickly.

Well, you can probably make it before both AHs will be closed in March.
Unless Blizzard is planning to unleash another Mother of Banwaves in next few months, like the one on 18/12/12.

Well said NHK. I run ~20 and with how dead the RMAH is (probably because most serious gamers went to Path of Exile and trying out the new consoles and Battlefield), it is hard to make money. I can't even sell mid-range trifecta items anymore, have to go on GAH whereas even a month ago those would net me at least $5 each. Gold did get a small boost after last weeks mini ban wave of big farms, but those farms are already back to capacity and gold price is going back down again.
