Can you get IP banned?

Hi, I'm a very casual botter and want to level a new toon for farming on a separate account (not attached to my main acc by name or battle net, completely new acc).

I am wondering if I can get IP banned by Blizzard?

I don't care if the new account gets banned, as long as my main has nothing to do with it.

edit: reason I asked this was because both accounts will run from same computer/connection.
 
Your main is not 100% safe but it's a low chance it will get banned if it did not bot/trade gold.

I see your account was banned recently! Sorry about that! It looks like the IP you played from was flagged as an exploitive IP, so your account was actioned. Sorry about the false alarm! I've gone ahead and overturned this ban so you should be able to log in now! :)

I was not sure how to put in for an apeal, so I did this. I did find out that my son was using a Bot called honorbuddy. I have 3 accounts on one Battlenet. I would like to have my sons account removed from my Battlenet. I will do anything I have to do to make this happen. I am or will be 50 years old in October of this year. I am a Deputy Sheriff. I have been in Law enforcement for 17 years. My wife and I dont go out with friends or do anything for any other type of enjoyment in life. I come home from work and get away from the scum of the earth people who rape children, Murder their Granparents because they are strung out on Meth. This is the only escape I have Please dont take this from me. I will give you my Oath this will never happen again on any of my accounts. I feel stupid begging for a game but it is all I have to take these things from my mind to take up the emptyness and hurt I see every day. I understand he did wrong and I am 100% behind you for the suspention of his account. He is young and has many things to do. This is all my wife and I do. and if who ever reads this cant help me please hold it in your hand and take it to someone that is able to. Thank You.

In regards to your account action, an additional review of the action has been completed, and we have confirmed our initial findings. The action will not be reversed or changed, so the suspension will remain for the full six months. We cannot verify who was sitting at the computer during the activity and the account owner is ultimately responsible for all activity that takes place on the account. hi.call your isp service and change new ip adrees for you.example your ip 10.10.10.20. change new: 10.10.10.19
 
unless you play with a cable modem, then just unplug your modem overnight. most work with dynamic ip and will reassign you a fresh ip.
