Can you buy lvl90 Honor gear before you hit 90?

I'm honor capped and plan to lvl the rest of the way using BGBuddy.... Does anyone know if you can buy lvl90 honor gear before you ding 90. I don't want all that honor to go to waste.

you can always convert your excess to justice points, and convert back once you hit 90, thats what i had to do. and yea it was a major loss, but its better then not getting anything at all.

to be honest, just hit 90 as fast as you can, the honor gains are like 3 times as much that you would make when you're 85-89
