We paid for lifetime keys, if Bossland turned our keys to expired, this is essentially stealing. We should get a refund.

I see it like this. You paid for lifetime Honorbuddy v2.xxx.
You used v3.xxx now for a long time for free. Does Bossland get money from you?

It's like buying a lifetime copy of a software called A2000 designed for Windows XP. Now you get all A2000.vxxxx Versions for free and can use it.
Company released A2009 designed for Windows 7. A2000 cannot be used anymore, is not sold anymore and also not supported.
Do you blame Microsoft? The company who developed A..... software?

While I understand that you wanna bot I think you have and had wrong expectations about what "lifetime" means. Only my opinion man, sorry.

BotOperator,

If that's the case, can we continue to use Honorbuddy V2?

EDIT

I just looked for it, it's no longer available. So your argument is wrong. You are stealing from us. I want a refund for my 2 keys.

No because its not updated anymore. Sometimes companies stop the development of spare parts, support of software versions and so on....
Lifetime does not mean until YOUR life ends but until a major change (like the wow legion update) breaks the product and requires a new one.
V3 is a lot different from V2 which was useable for years without any additional charges after your lifetime payment.

Again, your argument is invalid. I bought software "X", not Version "X".

That's not my problem.

EDIT

Also, as you said "Legion". I paid for Legion, if I want to, I can go back to using it, if I log into Honorbuddy V2 I'm blocked from using it.

Ok let me answer it this way.
Yes you could use HB v2.x but unfortunately Blizz changed their servers and updated them to be able to run legion.
Like my example with software A using WinXP. Now they changed to Win7 where our software does not work anymore with.
Only difference is that if you have a WinXP somewhere laying around you can still use the software. That's not possible with Blizz not offering servers with old WoW Versions.

Okay, so if I use Honorbuddy V2 on my "Private Server" on the proper OS. Will it work? No.

All this can be solved if I get a refund for what I paid "Lifetime" for.

Sorry but you are wrong here. HB was never designed to be able to run on private servers and that was clearly stated.
So what you want here is something that you also never had before while v2.x was working on the official servers.

I am sorry if that sounds harsh or bad. I am not a lawyer and not speaking for Bossland GmbH, it's only how I see it.
You might have a different view and I understand this but in my opinion you could use something for months you never paid for but now Bossland can't afford it anymore to be so generous and has to do business differently.
People always feel bad if they got something taken they had before but is it really wrong? Well I don't know.

Where I feel violated is I bought "Honorbuddy" not "V X.xx".

Also, were people able to use V3 without paying for V2 ? No. V3 was never free, you needed to pay for it.

Acronis Backup is called Acronis Backup. They change the name to Acronis Backup 2016 and Acronis Backup 2017 .... and so on like Honorbuddy v.2 is not v.3
I my opinion the term "lifetime" should be more described on the payment page and also that a different major version could end a lifetime subscription. This is something I could agree on.
The rest is basic stuff and quite normal if you buy software on the web.

^this , when i paid for a lifetime version and come back to see this v3 shit and legionbuddy i thought this was coming and look now its here .. why kill lifetime

Basicly, you agree "lifetime" was vague and a scam.

Like I said previously. I would like a refund for my 2 keys.

Well I "would like" so many things in life ;-)
Not up to me buddy like I said. I only told you how I see it and it's ok that you think differently. Rest is up to you and Bossland GmbH.
Could things have been made much clearer before? YES
Could things be communicated and described better before this change? YES ooooh yes.
Does it mean you are scammed or tricked? No i don't think so.

Most of the things are described on the wiki or on the payment page. If you were unsure you could ask here or via email before buying.
Is the change sad? YES, for everyone. For you as user and also for Bossland GmbH's reputation but I think they had no other choice, otherwise they would not have done this.
Over and out... ;-)

You have three choices.

One, you keep lifetime, Bossland goes out of business, and you lose the bot anyways.

Two, you support the bot, and it lasts longer.

Three, you stop using the bot.

You lose no matter what. The meaning of lifetime is irrelevant. If the bot goes under, you lose it anyways. Would you ask for a refund then too?

Refunds expire.

What a Bullshit Answer xD joking customers thats all and now wanna say no you just buy v2 as lifetime but not v3...
Better say the truth that you only want money. This is the only true answer;)

It is quite a joke that they turned to this arguement a few days after the announcement.

They always honored lifetime keys, and they stated several times nothing would happen to them. Since HB2, when you purchased a license, it was simply called "honorbuddy" it was ONLY called HB2 on the forum, NOT on the honorbuddy.com site.

Even to this date, theres no such thing as "HB3" on honorbuddy.com, theres simply Honorbuddy. If their arguement really was that these bots(v2 and v3) were different things, then that would be apparent when you purchased it, also it would be desired if they at the release of HB3 advised that HB2 lifetime keys were only kept active as a "courtesy"

NONE of this happened, and nothing suggests that HB2 and HB3 were 2 different things on the sales page.

They cannot argue that lifetime keys were for HB2, because they simply do not destinquish between them

Its the same joke as when you go buying and Iphone 7 (Firmware for expample 11.0). After 6 months came Firmware 12.1 out. Then Apple say you must give the iPhone back because you pay only for Version 11.0 and not for Version 12.1 xDDD

Well, as you can see, it's very clearly labelled as HB3 only.

Lifetime does mean something check the buddy auth site and it tells you a date your keys were supposed to be good for! My opinion and no i do not own honorbuddy but i do have archebuddy and same thing is happening there pretty much. I do understand why there changing it but old keys should be still good since they are lifetime.
Also you can't compare office or any other software like that because you can still use them in newer versions of windows or whatever even if there outdated.
On there purchase page or where ever before you actually pay there should be a warning saying about a possible time frame that the key would be good for instead of lifetime it should say at least this long but can't use versions for this as they could make any version change named whatever they want whenever they want. My opinion at least.
