Guys, you know that people get banned mostly from stucks, in an example when you got stuck at MAILBOX IN ULDUM when he try to goes to repair when he finish doing mails. This is just an example, there are more...

So the question now is can you guys put a limit of try or i dont know, something that DC you or stop doing it or move in other way, like i dont know the thing is to avoid this problems, cause most of the banned are that our characters get stuck and people see them doing nothing, stuck in the same place for hours doing nothing.

Hope you understand my idea and think about it, Thanks

Bot has an auto unstuck, there are also auto unstuck plugins you can use...

he's not talking about being stuck..
if a profile says "bob" is a repair vedor, but "bob" is actually just a random NPC that does nothing, the bot will try to interact with bob over and over and over forever.. he's asking if there can be an attempt max for that kind of thing

There's the Logout for Inactivity button on HB, Try enabling that and see how it goes?

How about this?
try this.webp

edit: damn Gimik was quicker than me, but I made a lovely picture :, )

I tried to save one of you unlucky people who got stuck on a mailbox by whispering but I guess you had no way of monitoring your toon I only assume you were banned.

If the bot is trying to do something over and over, it's actively trying to do something, not really inactive.

Not sure what HB defines as "inactive"

you might be able to make something that reads what gets logged, if the same thing gets logged X number of times in So Long, then stop the bot.

the problem is you need to see if its pulsing while its trying to interact with the "Dead" vender. but at that point i dont know why you wouldn't just fix the profile and be done with it.

cuz im not a programmer, and i dont know how to make/edit profiles! sorry

in that case fix the profile, thats the best solution

Its not always a profile problem. Honorbuddy sometimes gets very confused when picking up or turning in quest, and keeps trying over and over. Its like it can't "see" the offered quest from the NPC.

This may be related to the bug about HB getting confused about 'quest state', and runs off to do quests that have already been completed.

I agree, there should be an upper limit on failed attempt at interacting with the same object--be it vendor, mailbox, or whatnot. While you're questing, HB has the sense to blacklist the object. It really can't do that when the interaction is a key entity like quest-giver or mailbox. Consequently, there should be a safeguard to throttle or terminate the number of interaction attempts.

Say, the bot makes three to seven attempts (a random number make potential server-side detection scripts harder to write), then blacklists the entity for 10mins. Putting such a mechanism in place would have another beneficial side-effect--to the server, it would look like the player took a biobreak. :D

There are many ways to implement such safety mechanisms to prevent a server-side detect. I'm not advocating any particular solution--just advocating that there should be safeguards. Anybody that quests heavily can confirm the HBcore frequently gets 'confused' with respect to interactions.

agreed with chinajade, hope Develp team understand the meaning of this, its not just a profile its about the BOT too

Another Idea I've seen used before it the name. If Blizzard can see the names of the programs were currently running during our WoW session, why not have an option to use a default name. I have seen a number of bots use random generated names, but I think that is just as obvious. One good suggestion I've seen before was to name it "MP3 Player" seeing as most WoW players listen to music while playing.

I'm not pro enough to know how to code any of this, or exactly how it works. So I sorry if this suggestion would make no difference in the safety of botting.

:( i still getting stuck and got lot fo whisper, people report me i think :(
