Can someone explain SVN?

Hey,

All I notice is SVN all over the place. They give a link to a google code place and I just have no idea what to do from there. Spent a while searching and gave up. If anyone can do a quick rundown on exactly what I need to do to get the profile I want and use it would be greatly appreciated.

It is an incredibly easy way to keep files up to date.
You just right click the folder and hit "update"

TortoiseSVN - Downloads <-- download tortoise



1) download tortoise (above) & install it
1.5) RESTART YOUR COMPUTER
2) make a folder
3) right click that folder and click "SVN Checkout"
4) copy and paste the SVN link into the first box & press ok

Great, I didn't restart my computer and didn't know about the right click. I also had no idea that it will auto update just by having the address in the folder that is cool I guess.
