i feel like whenever i find a good profile, no combat profile works with it, or it needs a plugin the never seems to run quite right. then i find a good combat profile but the farm profile wont use my best spell for some reason or tele isnt supported.

rather than DB having "all their ducks in a row" ,as the saying goes, on release. it seems all the ducks have been thrown on the lawn and the DB team sent 6 guys out to put them in a row. the problem is 2 guys are making row A, 3 are making B, and 1 is making C. then a bunch of guys showed up with their own ducks and are making yet more lines. then all the leechers (yes me included) are bitching that the ducks arent in a row.

if only we were all duck addicts we could all be doing lines right now >.< terrible joke but i had to

now throw in some of:
"this one works with this version of DB but not this one."
"oh that version of DB is garbage."
"i copied this profile from "bob" so now it does A, make sure you use this plugin to account for X being changed."
"i want a refund because i cant unzip and press play"


TL : DR u missed a bad joke about ducks, that is all. move along.


A DEDICATED FORUM MOD SPENDING A FEW HOURS A DAY CONSILADTING AND PAIRING ALL OF THESE SCRIPTS AND PROFILES AND COMBAT ROUTINES AND PLUGINS WITH EACH OTHER WOULD HELP ALOT!!!!

edit: start 1 more sub forum called compiled profiles. only the mod could post. include a zip file links to each original thread and a read me/instructions.

im not saying that its broke and useless. im saying the forums are very unorganized and u have to search everywhere for the components to make a profile work. it just doesnt seem like they anticipated the evolution of this bot very well. they do have experiance with other bots i just expected a more streamlined experiance. im not unhappy or in rage mode just not what i thought it was gonna be like. ive gotten at least as good of quality, service, leadership out of free programs. i thought when you spent money it got better.

It takes me less than 1 minute to find what is required for a profile, less than 3 minutes to edit it to my liking, and 5seconds to move my custom DH routine into belphegor folder after every new release. I've never spent >10minutes searching on stuff or setting the bot up.

Is it really that hard?

The OP is suggesting a relatively good suggestion. I mean who can say they WOULDN'T prefer a directory where there are profiles more or less just for each single activity you want to do. At least one that is mod approved and stands out as the best. It makes life easier for everyone in the end without threads like Which is the best, Why isn't X working But Y working etc. All in all it might cause a little more work for the staff running it but for the community it can really only be beneficial.

As it happens I did read it and I agree with you. We need to get to the stage of open D3, then open Demonbuddy and load a profile/script and thats all you need. Right now, the bot takes too much setting up for users who are not computer literate.

However, we have to fix the nav and core issues first as nothing 100% will work until that is done.

Any ways, I will meet you in the middle on this issue. When I first started using DB, like 2days ago, I was very confused as well. It was quite frustrating to find the right profiles. But really, after I hit the forum search button a few times, I found the most popular ones. Also, as far as I know, I am quite sure the farm profiles don't ignore spells based on class etc.

I use the mammon routine plugin for combat, and whatever farm profile I find works best. Though at the moment I think there are some server issues going on, I think that should be resolved soon however.

I suggest making a GUI for the loot rules. People seem to be really confused with it.
