Buying a whole new account, or a new CD Key on a banned account

Does it make any difference regarding ban rate? I'd like to know whether there are any correlation in ban rate relating the purchase of a whole new account, and the purchase of a new wow CD-Key on a banned wow account.

P.S: Please don't come up with responses like "its as safe as anything", I know that. However, as aforementioned I'm interested in the correlation, and maybe past (personal) experiences.

I have 1 bnet account. 3 banned accounts (2 of them are the 6 month ban, 1 permaban) and 1 account that I bought after the banwave and I've been botting on it since then...

I went with a new account, new info, changed IP, and payment method...simply because:

I'm afraid WoW3 will need to remain closed - it too was advanced using unauthorized third party automation software.

When your WoW2's suspension is over, you're welcome to return to playing it, but WoW3 will remain closed.
