Hi!

I've been thinking of buying a guild. Level 10++ and Im wondering if I find someone, how does it usually goes with the gold transfer blabla. First gold or first gm or what?

Sorry for bad english :)

This was covered the other day in a thread with a title just like this.

IIRC its best to state it ingame chat with terms of sale and the usual method is for you to join Guild and deposit the gold then they remove gold from guild and make you GM.

IIRC? and even if we have said to eachother that its going to be like that and that, they can still scam :/

IIRC = If I Remember Correctly, a commonly used abbreviation in internet parlance.

Pretty sure if you say how it goes down they can't scam you as the GM can review the chat log and either return the gold or instate you as the Guild Master.

For example:

Guild buyer: Hi I want to buy your guild for XXXXX gold.
Guild seller: That is great trade me the gold now.
Guild buyer: Best to do it this way, I join Guild and deposit XXXXX gold to purchase the guild, after you withdraw the gold you make my character Guild Leader then leave the guild.
Guild seller: OK, lets do this.

If GM see's this in writing as agreement then they can revert any issues that might come from scam as scamming isn't allowed.

You can hand them the full price - as long as you've stated everything in chat, even /wsps, all is good. Of course, if it's a large amount, you could get temp banned until you open up a ticket and WTF them... I bought one for 25k and he added me to the guild, I opened up a trade window, gave him the 25k, he promoted me to GM - simple. Just make sure that all is agreed to in the chat window first - and remind him before the trade that the terms have been stated and that it would be a bad idea to try and scam you - since a GM would see the chat log.

You can also do this in reverse.
When I bought my L25, I was adamant that I wasn't gonna give the guy the 150k until he handed GM, and that if I didn't, he could open up a ticket and report me, since everything was settled and on the record in chat.
Just added safety :).

I recently sold a guild.

Here's another great tip i learned. Have them real id friend you, than on that same email, have them email you.

This shows that they also have access to the email account in question. Sometimes people manage to hack warcraft accounts but not the emails, so this is just a little extra security so you know its original owner.
