Whenever I find myself doing a clean install most of the time some of the leveling profiles have their own quest behaviors bundled with them.

What ends up happening is I'll install Kick's Profiles with his Quest Behaviors then when I go to install other profiles such as Cava's or any other profiles bundled with their own quest behaviors I always end up confused because I don't know which profile has the latest quest behaviors and I end up getting errors of behaviors that were depreciated and such. Please bundle the latest behaviors with HB and not let profile makers make their own. If anything have Kick's profile Quest Behaviors be the default.

Err... everyone writes their profiles different, or handles certain quests differently. If they didn't, it would be even easier to spot bots.

My only suggestion would be to stick with one set of profiles, or have different installs for different profiles that have separate behaviors.

What I WOULD like to see, is the ability for a profile to load behaviors from an alternate directory. Say, Kick's has his behaviors, his profiles could call it from a separate directory, like "kicks_behaviors" or something. That would make it easier... But I don't know if it is really feasible with the HB code.

I'm 99% sure they can.

Otherwise all the sub folder in the QB folder would make no sense at all.

Hi, Lemonlust,

The quest behaviors provided by Kick are 'official' ones that will be included in the next Honorbuddy drop. Kick does not provide a full set of behaviors--only ones that have changed since the last Honorbuddy 'Release' drop.

We understand this is confusing, and why we've written a HelpDesk article about it:

We actively work with the other authors to address their needs. But, whatever becomes of that gets rolled into Kick's 'between drop' distribution

Indeed, this is the way we'd like to see things done also. The 'standard set' which ships with Honorbuddy is all that Kick's profiles use. We were hoping that Cava, TheBrodieMan, and others, would create sub-directories under the Honorbuddy/Quest Behaviors/ directory--but we are not going to force them to do that if they have a compelling reason to do otherwise.

That information was communicated here:

cheers & hope any confusion has been cleaned up,

Cava has already started dropping his Quest Behaviors into a subdirectory Quest Behaviors/Cava/*.cs etc. :)

and honorbuddy now comes with all the quest behaviors needed, so theres no need to install them anymore.
