Bug + Requests

I have noticed when using the combat routine only (blank combat bot posted by EchoTiger) that after I kill a mob, the bot will take off by itself and target/run to a random nearby creature and start fighting it. The biggest problem with this is that when this happens, the bot ignores everything I do until it gets to the spot it had determined to start fighting the random mob it targetted. This leads to the bot chain pulling everything from point A to point B.

Which leads me to the request for a Pause hotkey. I am not sure if this is being worked on or possible, but I could hit all stop if it did. There are also many situations where I might just want to take control of movement myself (dungeons), so pausing the bot would be helpful there.

Another request that was mentioned somewhere in the forum was to have the ability to not have the bot take over the in-game command for "Double Tap Dash", "Auto-Face Target" and "Move to Target". Those three are wishlist items for someone who just wants the CR to do rotation work. I am just curious if it is possible, if only a long way off.

Thanks again for the good work on Wildbuddy!

Edit: Log of the bot running after a target on it's own after fight has ended.

The problem with it targeting something after it kills, is that the client still has you flagged as "in combat". The second part to this, is that there isn't the notion of "threat" unless you actually have something targeted. So the CR automatically finds a new target while it's in combat, and goes off to kill it.

I'll definitely add a "Disable Movement" to the CR, so it won't face/move/etc, and just do your normal rotation (for things in range).

As for Double Tap To Dash, Auto-Face, and Move to Target, these are all needed to keep consistency with the logic. It's unfortunate, but that's just how the game works internally.
