(Tutorial for NEW USERS)​

So you just bought the HOTTEST SWTOR bot on the planet, BuddyWing and received your key via the email you signed up with.
This key will be used to log into BuddyWing. Then you proceed to the link provided in the email to download the latest version of BuddyWing.


Reality is starting to set in and you realize how you're going to get your LIFE BACK!! SWTOR is just going to start auto leveling all the classes for you and making crazy amounts of credits!!!

You open BuddyWing. You are in complete disbelief that BuddyWing is just some plain jane window with 4 tabs, start, stop, and Load Profile buttons. You expected it to be a bit more elegant at the very least and tell you what is going on with everything.


Well, well, my friend, I will fill you in on the steps in making your BuddyWing experience SIMPLE, FAST, and EFFECTIVE.

ALL OF THESE STEPS ARE IMPORTANT!!! PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE ARTICLE
and you will know EVERYTHING there is to know about BuddyWing​

Here is a List of what we will cover in order to make BuddyWing Work:​

Okay, you are wondering what in the hell is this huge list above? What is a Combat Routine he speaks of, and Profiles do what for me now? Below I will explain all the questions you have and more! So READ ON!

Before you start to do ANYTHING with BuddyWing make sure you have .Net Framework 4.5 or Newer Installed (Download)

I am going to start with explanations of exactly what Combat routines are and what selection you have available.
Combat routines are files that tell your character how to fight in game and how to interact with BuddyWing.
BuddyWing is such an amazing product it has multiple different community driven Combat Routines to pick from.
Below are the current choices that are available for you to choose from:

The standard way to download updates for Combat Routines in the BuddyWing Community is Via SVN. Instructions on how to use a SVN are HERE.

Combat Routines:
PureSWTOR(LazyRider, where YOU control the movement)
Joe's Combat(Autonomous Leveling, where BuddyWing controls movement)
Walter's Waltz(Autonomous Leveling, where BuddyWing controls movement)

After choosing from the list above you take the folder of the Combat Routine you downloaded and place it inside the BuddyWing/Routines Folder.
Make sure you DO NOT RENAME ANY FOLDERS AS THIS WILL CAUSE ISSUES!


Next I recommend that you download Memory Cleaner. From here on out run it all times while using BuddyWing or even playing SWTOR. Below you will see a picture of the settings I recommend that you run memory cleaner for best results in SWTOR.
This will only help you bot longer and make SWTOR more stable because of the spaghetti programming Bioware did.


We are getting SUPER close to having the game start auto playing for you but you still need to do a few more things.

Disable all plug-ins**Optional**Most people don't do this but I recommend it since most are outdated and cause the bot to stop
functioning for long periods of time. Auto-equip works great til you are level 10 but after that it fails BIG TIME since it is out of date currently!

One of the last steps before you can start using BuddyWing is downloading some Profiles. Below are links to all the Profiles that are around publicly.
Most Profiles are outdated but still work about 85% to 95% of the time. You WILL NEED to baby sit the bot during questing Profiles
since it can and will bug out on clicking actions or even on random objects. If you use BuddyWing for grinding you will not run into this issue as often.

Kicks Questing 1-10 (works great yet!)
Kick's BuddyWing Profiles (works very well for supported classes)
[Empire] Makeb 50-55 Questing
[Empire] Makeb Dailies

You also have the ability to make your own grind Profiles. You can find more out HERE!

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you about two BIG helpful vital pieces of information. BuddyWing uses a Navigation Server in order to tell your character where to move and what objects to avoid. Some times the Navigation Server has its issues and crashes. This will cause your character not to move.
If this happens please visit the BuddyWing Forums to find out, but don't you worry our FEARLESS leader Aevitas is always working on ways to IMPROVE IT!

Another nice feature for all of BuddyBot Products is if the bot ever crashes and you can't log back into BuddyWing due to your key being in use.
You can go to Buddy Auth Portal and register with the email you purchased your key(s) with.
This will allow you to end key Sessions and log back in. You also can see how many days your key is valid for.


It's really that simple to get BuddyWing to work and if all else FAILS just ask on the FORUMS! WE WILL HELP YOU!

Below I will show you an example of how to use BuddyWing with a Grinding Profile:

Alright, we are ready to OPEN BUSINESS! What you will want to do is open SWTOR and make sure you are running it as ADMIN.


Log into your account and then wait for SWTOR to load to the character screen.

After SWTOR is loaded Hit Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open TaskManager. In TaskManager select the SWTOR.EXE with the LARGER process.
Right click and go to Set CPU Prioity To High/Real Time.


Log into/create the character you would like to level/play with BuddyWing.

Wait for the character screen to FULLY load into SWTOR World.


Move your character to what planet you would like to use BuddyWing on. Make sure to leave your Ship and walk out into the OPEN WORLD!
If you just re-logged back into your character MOVE 10 METERS from where you logged in. This will help with bot mesh issues.

Next open BuddyWing and make sure you are running it as ADMIN. You will now ENTER the key from your email address.


Let BuddyWing load the Combat Routine you decided to install. (takes mere seconds)
Make sure the class spec you are using is SUPPORTED by the Combat Routine you decided to install.


Click LOAD Profile Button and then go find the Profile(s) you downloaded on your computer for the planet you currently would like to level/play on.


Click the START Button.


Your character SHOULD START to move and either start the quest chain or move to grind area.

You are now on your way to getting your LIFE BACK! So pat yourself on the back and enjoy that SUNSHINE outside, YOU have earned it!

And yes life is all about the PRETTY WOMEN!



Troubleshooting Buddying 101

Before you even read ANYTHING below here, READ the guide above FIRST!

New User Issue: My character won't move.

New User Issue: BuddyWing Keeps freezing/running choppy

Did you set your CPU Priority to High/Real time? Guide above will show this!

BuddyWing does have its issues time to time interfacing with SWTOR and may cause you to restart BuddyWing.
Sometimes this will also require you to restart your SWTOR client as BuddyWing may have syncing issues.
