Buddy Store, the prices are insane!

Is just me who think 80% of the profiles on buddy Store is overpriced?

In my opinion the bossland should do something about this... like fixed prices, for quest profiles, routines, proff....

I understand and i apreciate all the time ppl spend making some profiles, but, asking 17.99$ for a routine in my opinion is absolutly insane when you can buy wow+bc+wotlk+cata+pandaria for 15€!

I do agree with you that some of them are really overpriced, but it's the authors themselves who set the price for their work and time, can't really do anything about it.
 
Meh, it'll regulate itself. Price too high -> not enough sales, etc. Plus sometimes you don't want many people using something.

This is a really simple fix. If you don't agree with the prices, then don't buy them. Bossland also isn't setting the prices.
 
I am 100% behind the over priced. I'd spend more money on the store if everything wasn't as expensive. However, I will say this. Some of the stuff coming out of the buddystore are freaking amazing.
 
I'm happy when people like you think its overpriced. It means the routines/profiles/botbases are not used by idiots.
 
Remember, you don't just get the routine, you also get future updates, customer services, and an ever evolving routine. The amount of work people put into these things is nothing short of amazing. I'm surprised they don't charge more.


But hey. That's just me.
 
its all about how much you think your time is worth as a code dev, and if you dont buy their product, then its not worth your time. simple as that. I bought oracle 2 and i'd like to try out some of the actual bot bases once they come back online. You pay GOOD for it yeah, but once you get a job and stop begging your mom to buy your game cards, then you can pay for it :)

Til then, please close this pointless thread about a broke chump, and explain how economics and equilibrium work.

It's this piss poor attitude by people that result in the majority of my most recent profiles being private. In a lot of cases, the best things made for this bot you will never even hear about.

If most of you had a 1 day pass to the Dev channel, you would understand how much work goes on in the background you know nothing about.

I think the prices are quite okay! when you consider that it is a lump sum.

I wonder that they do not take a monthly amount instead, which I would think was quite okay.

It is not illegal to make a home-made routine, so it is possible even to identify the approximately 80 to 100 hours to build the system from scratch.

It seems like a fair price point considering how long the devs have to maintain their routines and I can tell you right now that most of the routines are coming out really well, I haven't personally purchased Oracle yet but I've been beta testing and the support and the logic going into this routine for all the classes it supports will definitely make me a customer to them.

That being said i'm still hesitant to purchase routines that seem priced at 15$ per talent tree/specialization does seem a little more greedy. While i understand that they do require different logic once you have one spec done, I'm mighty confident that transferring the foundation into some new logic is not going to take you nearly as long.
 
Tried coding a routine once. Happy to pay for them.
 
Tuanha profiles along with Demonic and oracle are some of the best profiles i've ever used for a bot, some of the things these profile can do is insane, I bought Tuanha Death knight routine BAck in Cata and it is only gotten better since then, IF you want good shit, you gotta pay for it, IVe gotten 2.2k in arenas, only using the bot with Tuanha, with two others.
 
It seems pretty childish to call names and treat people poorly over a difference of opinion.

Yes, some of the profiles are expensive. Yes, hard work goes into making many of them.

It's either worth it to you or it isn't. Best to move on with your life, time is too short to bicker.
 
Oddly I had already bought, or donated for, most of the profiles/routines/botbases in the store BEFORE they migrated.
I am very thankful and supportive of the work that has gone into the system.

As for the developers, when gratitude isn't enough ... cash intensives inspire commitment.
 
Well, my first impression on the past about buddy store is "Omg that is too expensive i cant handly this price". But i never think that need be free or very cheap. Some item i think can lower a bit.

You need think about the time dev take to create, testing, testing, testing more....
And about learning? Have you tryed learning code?

I tryed a few weeks ago but i dont have to much time for it, and it's not so easy if you dont have time to expend on it.

So if you want a good or a very good profile/plungin/bot/etc.. Best way is pay for this.

I have to agree. Im seeing basic grind profiles for $10 unoptimized combat profiles for $30+. Its one reason why I am disappointed that RPQ is no longer, hundreds of profiles for free, because there was more people it meant that people couldnt charge too much because someone would just make a free profile doing the exact same thing. Tons that were optimized for high end raiders, I took home a few top 10 world DPS and healing on world of logs with free profiles. There are thousands of botters, if the profiles were set lower tons more would buy them, I would buy quite a bit of them actually. I enjoy supporting people but I cant do it with some of these prices.
 
Threads like this show how piss-poor our community is. Can't we all get along:rolleyes:
 
it is amazing how you can think it is overpriced ! by all means please come up with a better less expensive version. btw until then STFU . noone forces you to buy anything. programmers work hard to create these and most of them give you limited versions to try first to see if you like it. my hats off to all the work they do it is worth every penny. put it this way if it saves you time it saves you money cause that is the one thing you never get back .
